Sorry to tell you, but you'll notice some issues with jeans. masterchief legs are able to hide "that" decently.

slappy you have gravity lifts in this right? how did you get those to work in multiplayer without affecting the client?

This map seems to have some pretty revolutionary things in it. Keep in mind that whatever tags not directly related to the BSP will also be used in Sandtrap (which is as alive as this map).

It's that thing he talked to me about in a private message a few months ago (thinking about it, did we ever continue talking about the vehicle camera stuff?)

I have something else I haven't tested yet which may work even better than that, but for slappy's use, his is probably best since it insures an exact point, the new one im thinking of would be harder to pick a end point, but it would also include better inair.

The landing spot doesn't have to be exact, but we do want it around a 15 foot radius or so.

The gravity lift is probably a quick vehicle load and unload.

There's no prize for guessing how anything was done.
Although I'd like to, I don't know if I can explain in a brief fashion very well. Plus it would spoil the magic for when you play the map. Be assured they're working fine (thanks volteer for the tip), in fact all the scripts seem to be working fine except for a stubborn plasma pistol thing that might not be sorted out yet.

lolplasmapistol

Maybe you used the model that does not have a ground point marker? I know the one you used doesn't. Maybe that somehow affects the backpacking\attaching or whatever.

I really have no idea. The other pistols seem to work, and those are done exactly the same way. The script is fine, I don't get it.
Is it still happening?

Those screenshots look beautiful.
Is the Vallaha map open to the public?
If so where can I download it from?

I don't think they would show pictures just to show what nice stuff they have and you don't.

On the subject of detail objects around the map, will we see movable objects that are just vehicles that you cannot interact with what so ever, but only move around?

No, not likely. We do plan to put in detail objects, but by that I mean grass and stuff. Valhalla doesn't have much movable scenery anyway as far as I can tell.

Correction. You can rip bsp's from Halo 3 *cough* deehunter *cough*. This is still slappy's work right here.

The Antenna, boxes by the pelican, and most importantly the fusion coils! Also I don't know if you seen what my and Higuy pointed out that the ground needs to be rocks n' pebbles.

You're welcome. OH and if understood Jesse correctly, he told me that vehicles work with the man cannon... So... Fusion coils would if you made them movable via the vehicle logic.

Destructible vehicles work 95% of the time as far as I know...

I dunno, I guess I'll just have the coils not respawn and solve that issue.
The boxes don't move around and stuff yet, If we're going to do that. Fusion coils could work in the cannon I guess, but they would be always oriented rightside-up while in the air, because that's how I made the vehicles work. Unless I made a whole nother seat and... sigh.
Also, nobody told me to make the ground have rocks and pebbles and stuff. I had them in BEFORE, I spent a lot of time on the ground map, posted pictures, you guys LOVED the new ground, I made it final. Looks like you're not getting pebbles on the ground in the near future.

You don't need a new ground map to get pebbles and extra snow around the pelican. It's probably like at the most a 10 minute job if you know how to texture and make an alpha.

No, I would have to back to the bsp and rearrange/cut polys because I'm using a second material ID to get the snow, grass, and rock to blend. Including pebbles to the mix would be 4 different detail maps.

Okay, so make it 15. You know it isn't hard at all, so why not just put the effort in to make your map look better.

I never said I'm not going to do the snow. I am going to do the snow. I'm going to have to go back to the bsp and redistribute polygons remake textures and the like like I've been doing for I don't know how many months now as it is my job to create the bsp.
Yeah, whatever Higuy. Have beef with the way I'm making the map.

?!?! i never said you werent

oh boo who, 1 outdoor bsp? I had to make a total of 4 for Lumoira, and i have to do even more for the second one. and no, you wouldnt have to destribute any polygons. use the cut tool to just outline where you want the other material to end/start...

i dont have beef with how your making the map, what im doing though is giving my honest opinion on what i think you should do it to help better the map...
