Lol a little soon to say, but expect a similar development time, about a year later. Don't quote us on that though. We're still in pre-development brainstorming stage!


Damn, and Dratt was able to fix my biggest problem with the map in less then a day. :O, a year to wait for the updated version alone is gonna kill me. ;)


I only did the 1st cutscene. Theres still the ending one. Ill get to work on it though

Wasn't quite what I had expected, but nonetheless enjoying it. I found it to be the mirror image of SPv2, in a good way (They took out the bad). Good encounters (Well, some were strange), lacking in decal (Just my preference for custom weapons), straightforward, not too lengthy, understandable, keeps the suspense (well, slightly), good save points, excessive weapon drops, challenging AI , but not too challenging. I still dislike the fact that there was a lack of custom content, and that there are few weapons worth using, apart from those you have from start to finish. Churn some more excitement out. Granted, it's very playable and enjoyable, but lacks replay value. Once I've played through it, I find that I understand it, okay, that's it, nice, time to wait for Episode 2. If I were to play through it again, I'd find myself just doing weird things like running all the enemies I can over with the warthog just to entertain myself. Too linear in design to me, though I understand that many of you prefer it that way. I hope you can have more (exciting encounters) in future.
Because Lodex took offence to me saying that it was a mirror image of SPv2 , ill just say that I meant to make it sound like "Lateral inversion" which meant that it differed in a GOOD way not too ambitions and very nicely done.
More edits : The encounters were very strange at times. (Not retarded) (Not made by a retarded person, lacking in intelligence or motor function) This gets a solid 8 out of 10.
Naturally this is all open to interpretation.

It has that shock and aw effect but I turned off CE halfway through the second playthrough

I am still marvelling at the amazing environmental and ambience work

It needs a tail for balance, I don't care if it'll look like a dinosaur, because a creature like this looks like something a child would imagine to be alien by simply being bizarre without considering how it will actually fit in the environment or what some of the wierd traits actually do.

It does seem a tad unbalanced, doesn't it? But the ones from E3 didn't have tails either, so meh.

They were much more bulky in the original concept. I like it better with them being huge and masive looking beasts.

Yeah, I noticed that too. But these seem to be a bit smaller. Maybe some sort of sub-species?

I don't think they're quite finished. Wouldn't have taken much trouble to have inserted them last minute if they were done, would it?


v1 brutes for cmt were cut and they were ingame and finished

The birds were supposed to explode into blood and guts when shot at, but no one could ever get them to do so. We had ones before these ones that did it, but they got lost on Lodex's old laptop.

for the birds, give them collision. give the collision health. once it hits 0, give it a death effect, and make it disappear with body destroyed (I think that's what it's called in the tags). add blood and gibs via garbage to the death effect

there you go, exploding birds. now wasn't that easy?

Yeah, I think I remember people saying that they were basically completed back then. I'm leaning more and more everyday to backing up my HCE directory on a flashdrive mainly because my own Laptop (6 years old) is beginning to become affected in its withering age.

We did all that; besides from the garbage tags; and still didn't work. I plan on fixing them for Episode 2 though, I want my exploding birds.

Lumoria isn't to bad. But the FRG could have been hidden better...

Also the end needs fixed up... a lot...

While it wasn't hidden well, it makes more sense for it to be where it is.
