Here are some of my current HUDs: H3 Marine HUD: ODST HUD: I'm going to make ammo meters later, these are just temporary. Marine HUD:
Either don't have the radar, or center it and don't skew it.
Add a "biomonitor" if you don't have a radar, which shows heartbeat or something. That would be really cool.

overlay line is nice 'n' sharp, just the way i like it by my standards top inner corners are eww, make the corners sharper top alpha is horrid, basically i see 2 circles emerging from it as fuxed gradient. bottem gradient is also noticeable, i could draw you in paint where the gradient exactly is, which is bad since it should be fluid and not that obvious shield meter is nice, as a base. needs gradient, if there is a weak gradient then it's impossible to see through the smurf blue colour, but i do like the space between the meter and outline to be sharp yea keep it up dude, i see sum good stuff, but try keeping your standards high. what i see from this is that you have potential, but you ignored minor detaills since you thought it wasnt that major. but it is, every detail on a hud is. dont let your guard down man, would be a shame lastly, that plasme rifle has some serious UV error in other news, i've updated my hud a bit because i forgot to add in the flashing element for the shield bar content, which halo 3 seems to do aswell obvious pic is obvious, but still i'd point it out before people cry out loud that the shield bar isnt the right colour, it happens because its transparent ofcourse lulz http://i27.tinypic.com/72gdb4.png <-- higher res, HM preview size is fail i'll be replacing my weapon icons with more true to h3 icons, these dont look alike it at all so im quite bothered by that. still need a new font aswell. Also, do the gradient as a fraction of a circle, not surrounding the meter. It looks better that way. Also, then it fits any part of the visor.

You do know that the head is not bigger than the visor. Increase the visor size, have it stretch off the screen. And fix the outlines.
