I know this will make me sound like a noob which i am to HUDs but on gimp what would i set a new project to if I'm attempting a HUD?Also is there a way to make like a box and keep it there on GIMP,because each time i try the box thing it disappears after i click off of it.See I'm no good at making straight lines so I'm trying to find a auto box thing ;D.Any help?

I'm using paint since i can't figure GIMP out.:P I didn't follow any tuts either so if you think its that bad thats a reason.For me a couple lines aren't coming up.:/ o
Oh and if anyone has the pictures of nades i can use to put in the nade boxes that would help out.On a different note the number out of 60 goes down as you shoot then the number out of 240 goes down as you reload.:D so what do you think?

How does he fail? Maybe he doesnt want to stretch the page by posting in IMG. Also it doesnt need an outer circle.

He probably didnt make them as large as his other bitmaps.

There is the finished up version as of all the things that should be there such as weapons icon,ammo,health,shields,radar,grenade icons.Any thing else need fixed?

Can do,now that I look i can see its off to the right too.I was doing that fast though.I will edit this with the new one in a few.
E:Here is the fixed one.I just re did the plasma grenade.Fixed those lines.

Health is the bar already shown. Then theres vitality, which is basically shields, but for ODSTs.

yeah it really seems like you guys pounced upon odst.
i remember before halo 3 came out i was the only one working on a halo 3 styled hud, partially because i cannot do 2d work in gimp or photoshop. then i realized that huds are 2d work. it was a sad day.

Needs a lot of work, I just want to get it in-game and everything in the correct position, which I do not have a clue how to do... never really looked into HUD's.

Wanted to use Ink n Paint material, but it was being a tool and not working.. so I used a wireframe and drew over it all with the Pen tool in photoshop. I might make a material tonight so it is quicker.
