Re-install would probably work if the .exe is corrupted. That, or get a new one.

That's because Norton sucks. All it's use is being a space hog.
But yea, try scanning your Halo CE folder Edited by Greenfuzz on Jun 10, 2009 at 12:50 PM

Just place in halo dir. Your welcome.
Most likely you edited the halo executable without knowing it. Mods and DLL's can do this. Edited by Dennis on Jun 10, 2009 at 04:43 PM

Okay okay before everyone throws a poo fest Ill explain what happened.
When you install a Visual Language, .map files prioritys are switched. In this case, Visual C# or C++ has made .map files Linker Address Map.
Don't worry, you maps are okay. They just had a priority shift. They will still work.

Never liked Norton, kept wanting to update. Even after I just restarted the computer to finish the update. Thats why I switched to McAfee.

No duh, you have to either 1, move to chest, 2 rename, or delete. It gives you these options EVERY time a virus pops up. I have used it for over a year.

That you know of.. No virus protection will catch every virus because viruses are being made just as fast as new virus protection is being made. Norton and others are learning from the viruses as they come out and they release an update to block it.

best way to avoid problums like thease is to do a clean install of windows and then go directly to the ms website and get all the inportent updates first and if ever you try to wach a movie that wants you to install something called install.exe or setup.exe DONT DO IT!
