Look at all the extrudes on the walls. Plus everything else that is going to be modeled, not just the main area. Even Stfloyd knows its high poly already.

yes ALLL of the extrudes on the wall which total to be what? ~200 tris? i seriously doubt its an issue. do you know how many tris a modern computer can support while maintaining frame rate

My map is going to be like 40-50k tri's.. so whats wrong with you guys? I dunno.. lol. :)

EDIT: Floyd needs to grow up. I wouldnt let him get your map file. He might just leak that too. :)

True, I was working on the covenant campaign, aswell as the flood campaign, while maintaining my machinima series (yes multiple) and heck, homework too, because people want to achieve multiple things you shoulnd't flame like a childish kid, but just praise that such stuff happens.

I still have my doubts how it works out though, not the models but the scripts, however I'm sure you got that covered otherwise you wouldn't start on this.

about the models you mentioned earlier, I got my models almost done, they're using random armor pieces on spawn, so it will give it a more halo3ish feeling.

You could use this if you'd like, I don't have an image with all perms on it, but I'm sure you get the point.
The fact that they're lowering their weapons is irrelevant, it's for my machinima and won't be needed in this map.

those shaders are ugly, fix the color values so there like h3. And make differnt multipuposes, for the shaders etc.

The models look decent, if you want decent shaders your gonna want a better cubemap and a alpha over the entire body skin. (Alpah's control shinyness)

Cubemap is fine, and dont use alpha channels for models. Thats why the specular map is there, use it.

Rig is bad. The croth of the second picture shows how bad it is and the elbow and shoulder of the first picture is bad. Also the shaders need a lot of work. The CQB visor definitely.

they are update edges, that means 2 edges are overlapping, halo tool cant compile 2 edges that overlap, the (random number) is the number of the edge that is overlapping, its no use really.

just import the wrl into 3ds and it shoes you eveerything , try to fix most, and tell the person who modeled it to watch some error tuts

I'll work on the multipurpose some more, make seperate perms for the visor and rerig the crotch, then you would be able to use it, should take me an hour or so to do it

the BSP looks great so far, I once posted some idea on youtube for H3MT's Foundry (update?) for a forge concept, since the map is mainly made to place objects, you could make all scenery vehicles so that the host can spawn all the scenery objects, they spawn NEXT to you, so if you change the center you could let it spawn infront of you, however it's minor and idk if centering would work, but it's still good if you can spawn it next to you, that way you could also add physics for every object. yea it will be alot of work, but as you said before, better do it right than do it quick. This would add nice variaty to the map's layout as vehicle spawn do sync

and last, have you thought about the scripts for griffball, or do you plan on coding something opensauces way (aka external app or so)?

Yea we mostly do it for the giggles =P This week is kinda... quiet for me, so I'm just doing it for my machinima's, if other people can be happy with my stuff then that's great, especially this project could use it.
Meh, that guy yea, well if you want to do it yourself, you can still download H3 beta and do it, however I'm not for doing things already done, opinions differ

Now, it's a race, who will release the BSP first? H3MT or this team? =P

Now the difference between their map and ours, is ours has more detail, looks better, is not locked, will feature grifball, and will be COMPLETELY editable. (using HEK =P)

And maybe have some goodies, like a working Halo 3 Gravity Hammer, new sword, with better melee (and way better texture, and pose + animations =P).

I dont get it..Why model so highpolly..Geez..Dont you want anyone to play the actual game?Jeez..Also its called "Bump maps"..Please remove the extruded stuff and remember you are making a map for halo ce not halo 3.

You wont, you are unable to get the simplest of items ingame to work properly

Yours dose not "look better" the model is decent, but by judging your previous use of shaders, creation of bitmaps, and inability to fix errors, this map will not surpass "mediocre" in visual standards.
