One could photoshop a face-on render of a given wall, optimize the wall, and then re-map it with the new texture. Or one could figure out how to use render to texture, and learn how channels work, and do it like the pros do. Not suggesting I'm a pro, I haven't figured it out yet. But that's what render to texture is for. The pipes might be a little excessive for an area of the map that will be in view most of the time, and there are parts that could be done way lower poly (shader_transparent) with minimal purtyloss, but otherwise it looks comparable in detail to some of Bungie's mp h1 maps. So there's effectively no overshield, and the 3rd and first person models turn orange? Does this still depend on scripting, and is it the scripting which limits the number of players to 8, or is that just how griffball's played? Running and jumping when with the bomb, because the server will host with the apropriate gametype? Or is there Sauce involved?

fro what i can see it looks cool i gueess(i am still a supernub so what do i know) so is grif ball like bombing run in ut2004? u grab the ball/bomb and try to get it to the goal area or something? if so itll be cool, i like that game mode in ut2004, lol.....

Alright, I'll go ahead and say it. You suck:
1.) Sigma is a team of considerably good EXPERIENCED CE users. 2.) They know how to model to great decency, far better than you. 3.) They already know how to do this and are 1/2-3/4 done with their Grifball. 4.) You're wasting time if you plan on making Grifball again in a more worse way. 5.) Your models are not nearly good enough to work well in CE. 6.) You have no idea how to do have of what you're saying, especially before Sigma finishes their stuff. 7.) Give me a finished work from your team in HALO CUSTOM EDITION that is a map and has scripts. 8.) I'm telling you these things because you'll be wasting useful time to do other, not-done-yet stuff. 9.) Stop talking professional because you aren't near professional. 10.) Work on your bloody smoothing.
That's all I have to say. If you say this isn't criticism, than you really are foolish.
Now, if you do something else, that's perfectly fine. But you trying to do Grifball is beyond stupid. I'm not discouraging you, but I am telling you not to make a stupid call and waste your life on a project being done far better than you ever could in while. As much so as I don't approve of saying Sigma is the best and should be the only ones to do Grifball, it's pretty much true. They...well actually _TheArbiter_, is one of the best damn scripters in CE. He's made things that Zteam members have attempted but hadn't gotten as well as he did. I'm not looking down upon Zteam either, they've made things that Arby hasn't exactly been able to recreate, or probably hasn't even tried really (yes, ripping animations and all that other junk blah blah)
Seriously, stop, you're not going to finish anything, or even get something close to a respectable state. If you want to keep trying, that is your choice and I encourage you to. However, it would be best to not embarrass yourself like you have many many times before this.

Everyone needs to stop picking fights, and I have never "picked" a fight, if I have, it was not within the last 6 months or later.
I just wanted to post up about an OPEN halo ce map that was from Halo 3, has a mode that is not very easy for most to make, and is fun for everyone, I did not know sigma was making grifball, that's the first I've heard.
I also wish NOT to hear anymore off topic or bad crit on this thread, its ruined enough, the hammer is fine, its not done, you guys ask for pics, and I post em.

Yea but its going to to end up horribly due to the fact that you ignore any comment that we give you that isn't positive in your light, and all the people who put hard work into this will have had there time and efforts wasted.

Look Grifball is not hard to make: Re-model and re-animate the Flag to make it a bomb Use the Sword tags on this site. Remove the lunge if you want to. Then just make the Gravity Hammer. Then all that's left is the model of part of Foundry and the script, which I believe is already figured out at Modacity. Then use the standard "Assault" gametype ALREADY MADE in Halo.
