Basically this map is a forerunner pit, with more win. Theres a few bugs I need to tweak so there isn't a release yet. Anyways discuss the eye candy.

I don't like it much.. It's kind of hard to see much, because everything is the same color. It kind of blends it. The sky is probably for a ice map, or a snow place. So I can see where Selentic is getting it from.

People were saying that they wanted a nice night time sky, which is easy to me. But advance bo brings up "Put an ark in there" which is more complicated.

Actually I said put a Halo Ring in there.

Import the dusk sky model from tags\skies
Take the Halo Ring and delete everything else.

Get the dusk textures for the Halo Ring, then do whatever else you want.

Hm. Ring or ark. The ark will be much more complicated but making a halo will be much easier and me making it will have it look awesome. As with the ark, I will need to make a more complicated model, texture it properly and bake it with pre-defined lights. Then the dark areas will need to be lit also and I'll have to make the core and particals and animate the clouds around the core etc.

Tbh don't use seclusions textures, make your own or use defult. they look out of place, but the map looks fun. and yea, get a new sky, it would make it look better.

I really like how the map looks with those textures, it give it this gloom old deserted look. And thats exactly what I was aiming for.

Or just retexture the Halo Ring, in the Art of Halo 3 book, the way Bungie textured the Halo Ring was that they took the Earth, split it up into 4 sections based on latitude. And they put that on the Ring, obviously custom textured though.

Why do you need to model an Ark? I thought you could have a bitmap for it, like the rings are in all the default maps.

So that you can position it in different places like in Halo 3. Which is a model.
