You're best off doing one map, and leaving it at that. If you try to manage 3 it's going to take forever, best to do one as a learning process and then do a second and third later on, once you have your custom tagset too.

okay so since this is an idea thread...
ACT 1: you are going into the city to save MC when he is captured during the New Mombasa Slipspace Event, then you fight your way through the aliens, at teh drop off point using AR, BR, and smgs and spike grenades then you group up with some marines at a nearby command point and use a gauss hog to mow down covies. then banshees go overhead and you shoot them down with spartan laser. Then you fight your way up a multi-story building and snipe some covenant and then get airlifted to the tunnel to meet up with the second brother, but you are attacked by hunters and must hold them off until the pelican arrives
ACT 2: you are wounded from the crash so you start at half health and only a little ammo and like 3 or 4 marine teammates. this would force the player to improvise and take cover and conserve ammo (something that real marines have to do) soon you meet up with some other marines. the first objective is to take over a covenant controlled building. you are part of the division that goes straight towards it. you are driving a scorpion when suddenly your convoy is attacked by heavy banshees (shoot fuel rods and drop multiple plasma nades [i can lend the tags for that]) only the marines on your scorpion survive due to pelicans coming in and saving you. the attack is abandoned and you are airlifted to the tunnel where you meet with the first brother
ACT 3: you start off in a HEV (Human Entry Vehicle) you experience the drop and hear as some of the squad members die on the way down. Your objective is to board and destroy a covenant ship which is undergoing repairs. one of the marines is carrying a bomb and you must escort him into the ships engine room where he will plant it, you then have a short time to escape and fly off in banshees towards the tunnel with the brothers, but your teammates are killed by covenant AA and you just barely escape to crash land outside the tunnel. Then the three brothers enter the tunnel and lead a epic charge to save the master chief and in the end they win and are flown off in a pelican as the sun sets
THE END :)
keep in mind thats just what i think would be cool, feel free to expand on, remove parts of, or criticise, my idea

That way you have to worry about youre flanks). you are part of the division that goes straight towards it. you are driving a scorpion (make it a warthog, just for the sake of you not totally obliterating the opposing force) when suddenly your convoy is attacked by heavy banshees (it would be nice to include some ground forces too) (shoot fuel rods and drop multiple plasma nades [i can lend the tags for that]) only the marines on your scorpion survive (how will you assure that? make them invincible? other wise they could die from a nearby plasma explosion) due to pelicans coming in and saving you (why cant you shoot them down? you have a freakin tank!!). the attack is abandoned and you are airlifted to the tunnel where you meet with the first brother
ACT 3: you start off in a HEV (Human Entry Vehicle) you experience the drop and hear as some of the squad members die on the way down (sounds like a very cool part; very emotional). Your objective is to board and destroy a covenant ship which is undergoing repairs (why not inflitrate from the air? unless you are going to drop down onto the top of the ship with the HEV). one of the marines is carrying a bomb and you must escort him into the ships engine room where he will plant it, you then have a short time to escape and fly off in banshees towards the tunnel with the brothers, but your teammates are killed by covenant AA(cinematic or no?) and you just barely escape to crash land outside the tunnel (I smell some epic jungle fighting? maybe try to include the flamethrower a lot here). Then the three brothers enter the tunnel and lead a epic charge(how will this work exactly? the halo gameplay is not exactly built around straight out charges; more for hiding behind cover and such) to save the master chief(again, dont overlap things within the halo universe: the results are bad) and in the end they win and are flown off in a pelican as the sun sets (Try to consider other ideas for an end. Im not saying its bad (in fact its quite good), but just know there are alternatives out there)

uhh just got my new comp today ok so back to buisness I got a mic now I need a recording software and xfire since xfire didnt work whatsoever on my old comp its time to try in on this new one so ya I'll keep you guys posted

Well I think we should take a step back and discuss what kind of sp we are making. I would like it to be similar to Halo. I don't want M16's or Hummers. I want it Halo based. That's what I had in mind when I was thinking of this story.
