I would start with planning out a storyboard, how the level will progress, give whoever duties to do lol duties. Then start modeling from a concept created for the map.

ACT 1:

ACT 2:
you are wounded from the crash so you start at half health and only a little ammo and like 3 or 4 marine teammates wounded. this would force the player to improvise and take cover and conserve ammo (something that real marines have to do) soon you meet up with some other marines. the first objective is to take over a covenant controlled building complex. you are part of the division that goes straight towards it. you are driving a warthog when suddenly your convoy is attacked by heavy banshees only marines are horrible AI so it would be difficult for the player to manage ground forces AND air forces(shoot fuel rods and drop multiple plasma nades [i can lend the tags for that]) only the invinciblemarines on your scorpion survive due to pelicans coming in and saving you. The attack is abandoned and you are airlifted to the tunnel where you meet with the first brother

ACT 3:
you start off in a HEV (Human Entry Vehicle) you experience the drop and hear as some of the squad members die on the way down. Your objective is to board and destroy a covenant ship which is undergoing repairs there is too much AA fire to drop down on top of it. one of the marines is carrying a bomb and you must escort him into the ships engine room where he will plant it, you then have a short time to escape and fly off in banshees towards the tunnel with the brothers, but your teammates are killed by covenant AA in a cinematicand you just barely escape to crash land outside the tunnel with a flamethrower and toast some covies :D. Then the three brothers enter the tunnel to and in the end they win and are flown off in a pelican as the sun sets

THE END :)

keep in mind thats just what i think would be cool, feel free to expand on, remove parts of, or criticise, my idea

Your idea is cool but naturally I'm going to have to go with my idea. You have some good ideas in yours and I'm not saying you shouldn't make it. It just seems to me that your idea sounds a lot like mine but I will use some of your ideas when I'm making the rough draft of the script.

I'm currently drawing the overhead concept of the city that Act 1 and 2 will take place. It may take a while because I have been sick since Christmas Eve but it should be finished soon.

yeah i was just putting out a more detailed version of the campaign based on what you posted before those are just some ideas because this is an idea thread ;)

If I were you, I would include an custom AI (like Cortana, but not Cortana, if you know what i mean)somewhere in there. It would make for a nice detail.

AI doesnt have to be females :\

It can be a female main character, with a male AI. The AI lies in a device she carries around, but not like the Chief and the chip thing.

yeah, it doesn't have to be female. For instance, in the series of SP maps I'm making right now, the AI is called Polyphemus (although normally pronounced 'pall-ee-fee-muss', in my levels its pronounced 'pull-if-i-muss')

The physics engine is built into the Halo CE engine. All they did was make a new biped, and give it different physics. But that does not modify the engine of Halo CE.

You have no idea what you are talking about, do you? The physics engine is built into the Halo CE engine. All they did was make a new biped, and give it different physics. But that, under no circumstances, modifies the engine of Halo CE.

What about a pelican with a gunner that flies around occasionally, helping you with difficult areas? However, it can be destroyed, and if it is, it won't appear again.

Hmm, like press flashlight and it comes? Not sure if that's possible...Like, you can make it start an animation when your flashlight is on, but you'd have to create multiple trigger volumes, so that it comes to the right place.

Sounds interesting. Always great to have new SP maps coming together. I would offer to help if I didn't have the Mod or Project2 to focus on. But then again, I'm sure there isn't anything I can do that y'all can't.

I think so i dont really know about how many levels we are using though. but i think it could be during Halo 1 while the master chief was on the first Halo.
