Grenade animation sucks, I hate doing throwing animations. I want feedback on the melee, it's not a Halo 3 copy, but I want to know if it looks good.

ODX are you going to animate the Laser in the final version?

depends on the origin, actually i use it for machinima, so that it doesn't look like wtfweirdshizmental guns shooting from the visor, but actually from the gun.

but for gameplay maps you have to set it to fire from camera to make it shoot straight

I don't think shoot from camera affects how it looks like in third person.

try it and come back, the sniper will either come out of your visor or out of the barrel, your choice.

i prefer the gun, regardless of gameplay, because i only make machinima.

You can set offset in the Weapon tag too to give the emulation of bullets coming out of the FP gun. I'm pretty sure that's how they do it in Halo 3, a very slight offset, not a gameplay-breaking offset.

regardless of fire from camera or not, it's always straight, that offset is the exact same thing, except you do that by manual values, instead of letting the tag determine it, i think

dunno, why not just make everything fire from camera?

only fun thing about using gun origins is you can shoot around a corner, right corner that is lulz

Edit: Alright the Ma5C animations are done being editted. The only thing I really have to do now is make a decent walking and test the overlays in-game.

The bullets go from the gun supposedly, but like some people believe, Bungie could have made a better method of firing in Halo3.

Actually I'm pretty sure Halo 3 uses a very, very slight offset. I've got a capture card and I've compared say, the Plasma Rifle to the H1 PR. If you set just a slight offset in the weapon tag (with a smaller projectile of course), it looks just like Halo 3.

Current build of sandtrap. The Sand isn't the one we are using. HEK+ messed it up. Currently working on sky.

Sand looks like mashed potatos,glad your not using it.
Will you add/make halo 3 vehicles in the map?
And like in H3MT narrows,add some AIs to counter botters.

If it were lowered, it would be pointing more up, like the Halo 1 shottie. Raising it gives it the angle of the Halo 3 shottie.

Halo 1's crosshairs are higher up than the Halo 3 crosshairs; if you had an EXACT duplicate of the Halo 3 animations, they would be pointing way too low.







That's the reason why I have the gun so high up.

Also, Grunt or whoever, is there any way we can increase the opacity on the visor? It's a bit overwhelming at the moment, compare it to the H3 screenshot in my last post
