Its called self control.
I said it pages ago that i think it would be ok to talk about those things if we could all be civil toward each other, i was looking for a reasonable discussion with some of you, but it never happened because of the lack of self control.
Im not looking to lecture anyone here and i dont want to start another off topic convo, its just my opinion.

Exhibit better behavior (not like the mess that broke out here) and maybe he won't have to hurt your feelings to get a point across, whether intentionally or not.

He does it out of frustration. He warns you all (not you specifically, but in general) repeatedly, and no one listens. My observation is that he has a near-godly amount of patience with some of you here.

The nanosuit is ingame without lowering the ammount of poly's at all
if you wonder why there is no shadow, it's made in sapien, so no copy-paste action with photoshop, just lightened it up because the textures are too dark, just got it ingame 10 mins ago

shaders suck.

Just to tell you, the shaders just have a diffuse. Even if it just has a diffuse it is still considerd a shader. THEREFORE, making your logic of "Materials with only difuse isn't a material" a failure.

What doan said. You cannot talk your way out of this either. If you can see it at all in a game. It is being processed by the hlsl shader cycle. Meaning it is a shader no matter how much you can try to make up an excuse.

so, shaders are easier than materials. He could have made a simple shader with a diffuse, multi, and detail.

Also what does "shaders suck" have to do with having a diffuse map? A suck shader is a suck shader.

Also Dee, dont u have something to model?

Dont you have to fail somewere else?
Shaders and materials are pretty much the same thing when it comes to rendering, realtime or CG. And your "shader suck" thing is an opinion. There is always someone out there that thinks they look good. Josh is proof of that.

If an object has any type of bitmap on it, then it has a material on it. You add diffuse in the material editor, right?

still working on the arms, the screenshot i posted before was just a simple diffuse just to show one skinned, but i didn't really set up the shaders correctly yesterday, now they are, with 4 variations:
Regular
Damaged
Cover Edition (the one ingame and the one on the cover of the game are different)
and Exoskeleton edition, as how i like to call it, more boney-like, yellowish
