Not to brown nose or anything but you've got every reason to be. Frankly I'm glad you have the experience and presence of mind to not go on some ill-fated ban spree when stuff like this happens, as any of the 'admins' on other community sites would find appropriate.

The only problem is people take advantage of that way too often.

What people don't understand is that Dennis is one of those guys who you don't want to play "chess" with. He will always win and put you into an inevitable "checkmate."

It's a shame that people have to be so selfish to one person who is being selfless for many others.

I have to disagree. The problem with trolling on this site is that Dennis can't get a checkmate. Ever. It's beyond easy to just keep creating accounts and move that King around; it's all he can do to keep it in check, so to speak.

This is a problem everywhere, even to more professional sites like RallyPoint. I'm not sure how he puts up with it on his own but I'm glad he does for everyone's sake.

With the Xbox One running with a AMD APU + Windows 8 very easy and fast ports to PC are possible. But why Halo Online? Is this a test just to see how the community react? The result we can see..... but how Microsoft react, too.

I wonder if there is a way beyond Halo Online? Only for example to emulate the Master Chief Collection on the PC?

I am glad someone else realizes the problem of allowing easy and open access to forums populated by an age group. The structure by is very design allows for abuse. There is no way I or anyone can keep up with all web proxy access. After all there are over 4.2 billion IP addresses and the 938,000 in our block list is just a small drop in the bucket by comparison.

I have an do moderate professional forums and discussion lists and and have so since before the Internet was open to the public and there are a couple of things that help insure proper decorum: restricted access either by profession or via monetary contribution, removal of anonymity, age limitations or full 100% moderation of every post.

This forum is structured the exact opposite of those things. It is open to all and it is populated by teenagers and adolescents some of who's worst nature is bolstered by their perceived anonymity.

Of all the things that cause disruption I can safely say that it is the age of the members. As evidence it is rarely the "senior" members or "old timers" that engage in trolling.

So I play the long game.

This is true. Unmask the people, and they'll start getting their act together.
And indeed age and, uh, seniority. Though I hate using that word, as it makes me feel old. Just turned "senior" at work this year too, which doesn't help!

For all we know people like Caesar could be terrific lads, who help their mums do the dishes, help their fathers mow the lawn, and share their ice cream with their siblings!

In the context of Halo: Online, if we are given the code, we'll start fixing the bugs. Or in our case, "If we are given a Halo 3 engine binary, we don't care what you've done, we'll make it work."

Mouse accel removed, Local lan working as well as other goodies are up and running.

Well, mouse acceleration was fixed by another "trainer app", i'm not sure if that's fixed on 0.4.6 but this update was not yet released, so unless you're not on 0.4.5 there is nothing to update, you can ofc go to their github and compile from the source.

So if we get a partially working hack job editing kit, all of the halo ce users will go illegally download halo online Dorito edition and the tools to which Microsoft has already ordered cease and desists, I can't see how this could go wrong. Are people seriously this insane?

Will we be able to import custom assets into the game with this? I don't know very well the captabilities of a tag editor.

In playing this, I realized it is very easy to kill/be killed.
If the tag editor works,I'd suggest adding more shields to the armour

yea but its just a tag editor atm. i think people here are misinformed so far as to what a tag editor is. the tag editor just allows you to modify the values of what is already there (aka nothing custom). assembly has been around for quite a while, all that seems to have happened here is that it was updated to support halo online. which ill admit is actually quite nice because now we can tweak the tag values around to get the weapons to handle better.

Important thing is progress is being made and the game has been "out" for around a month
