The game is really fun but sprint is soooo bad.

Just did an intensive 4 hour playtest with SBB and like altis said the game plays good as it is now. BUUUUUUUT once loadouts, microtransactions, and the armor abilitys are added this game is going to suck.

in other news the game has aim assist like on a controller even when using a mouse and keyboard. it slows down your mouse movement too making it possibly the most annoying thing i have ever experienced in a pc game.

That sucks. I use the controller and I like when PC games have aim assist with controllers. I hope they add a way to let me change the controls for it because sprint doesn't toggle which makes it horrible for pressing down the Left stick and X for crouch is really dumb.

Obtained the game. Pretty cool! A few thoughts on the current state of it:

New maps are kinda nice. Edge is super pretty. As some people have pointed out the texturing is rough as hell in some places though.

SSAO is ugly as hell and totally tanks performance on my system. I'm using a decidedly mid-tier computer, but hell, that still shouldn't happen IMHO. Would be nice if the ElDorito devs gave us a means to disable it.

The addition of screen-space local reflections is pretty cool though. Again, it's kinda rough in its implementation but I have a total soft-spot for that effect ever since I got my hands on Unreal Engine 4.

Currently there's an option to invert mouse, but not gamepad. I'm one of these weirdos who likes to play inverted on thumbsticks, so that was kinda weird and disorienting, lol.

As far as I can make out, Forge is currently broken when using ElDewritos. If, like me, you're poking about with Halo Online just to see what can be done, and not for playing matches on, stick with ElDorito instead.

Overall though, heaps of fun. It's kind of incredible seeing a new Halo game on my PC!

there are so many people playing halo online that it keeps crashing evolves party system....

I also have this problem, and I can't invert the looking stick either, which makes the game completely unplayable to me with an Xbox One controller :(

Does anyone have a fix? Maybe editing some file on the game that changes what button does what.

Isn't what y'all are doing, like, illegal.

You can just disable it in video settings by changing post processing to low.

Once we finally finished MP, we will be focusing on erasing halo 4 features and bringing back Halo 3 port.

Pretty cool stuff. What we have is more than cool, though.

On a side-note: any further data mining successes in figuring out what other content the Beta hides? Armours, weapons, and such? Or has this limited build already been cleaned out in terms of what resources are in?
