oh! do you mean the guardian MP map? It is rather processor intensive, but Ive never had any problems with it myself. perhaps your computer just isn't good enough to play it, some of my friends have had their halo games shut down when trying to play Obtuse (A very intensive flood firefight multiplayer game I made a while back) because it was too intensive. where exactly did it error out, have you tried to play it again since?

Right now?

Yes and no. I have finished almost everything in the final BSP. however the final cog as it were, the guardian sentinel still is not functional. I have even found a good loop-able sounds track. look guys, If you want me to finish this map any time soon I seriously need someone to either tell me how to animate my model and place the markers or do it for me. Also, does anyone know a way to check if an encounter has been destroyed. (as in to check if the guardian has been killed and if so load the ending.)


It has come to my attention that there is a serious flaw with the last few versions of the guardian forest map, the last good version was from the 15 of this month, luckily I have a back up, but I'm going to have to get it back up to scratch which will take some time, I will post a new update when I am done.

I'm sorry but lul wut!?

anyway. I found out and fixed the problem, for some reason the game really didn't like the engineers and pilot I had put in the map, so I had to take them out, a bit gutted. I like engineers and halo was hating on them right down to the bipeds. but anyway, its working now.

could someone please play this through till the end and tell me if they have an exception.

that's ok, I just realized I had uploaded it with the normal MC hud rather than the ODST one, I will upload a new copy as soon as I test something.

and as for the guardian mp map, have you tried running it without open sauce?

Well, I just finished my tests, and I must say, the music for the final boss fight is EPIC! exactly what I wanted. here is the link to where I got it off if you want to hear it early. I have also finished the credits and done the ending and stuff, all that is left now is for zomb3king to make me the guardian model (or at least a better one that I can actually use as a biped) and this project will be complete.

I will post the update as soon as I've uploaded it.

I will also post a map I made that allows you to walk around the entire pillar of autumn with all the bsps from A10 and D40 if you want it.


Also for you Xander95 I will upload the latest version of guardian mp that I have in my possession.

I know this one works because I have had several LAN games of it with other people using different computers.


finally, for anyone who's interested I will also post a link to a campaign I made a while back called Wintersmith where you play as a marine across a cube shaped forerunner construct in deep space covered in ice. Its pretty good, not as good as it could be, but its still fairly enjoyable.

Yes. there is, in fact, the pillar of autumn map is SO large, that while normally you simply call a trigger volume something like BSP 3,4 to switch with this map I used up the maximum number of that sort of switch and had to script some BSP switches in as well, there is also a full collection of drivable vehicles including a longsword, pelican, life pod, scorpion, warthog, rocket warthog, yohog and a few others. there is also a secret teleport located in the second doorway that leads to nowhere on the first of the three corridors where you first see the covenant in halo 1 that teleports you straight to the hanger, to get out of the hanger there is another teleport that teleports you back out located right in the middle of the main hanger entrance but back towards the longsword. (there's a small channel in the ground leading towards the hanger bay doors, just follow that.)

you start in a cryo tube, press action to get out.

oh yes, forgot to mention, if you can't open a door try meleeing it, that often opens the door. (but not always, some doors were meant to stay shut.)

no sorry, too tricky, but someone has already made a single bsp POA multiplayer, you can download it off this website.

sorry, just realized I recompiled the wintersmith campaign and innerpoa with the wrong globals, innerpoa I don't mind, but I'm going to have to re-upload a new copy of wintersmith.

In the mean time, if you liked my full POA map then maybe you might like this, its the same thing but with the truth and reconciliation, you play as an elite, and yes, you can fly the spirit and phantom.

The first one looks like a pretty accurate recreation of the original concept, but the second one looks more like a Sentinel. I think the skin could use some modification, though, and the eye shouldn't be such an intense, flat red.

Its not actually an intense flat red, It looks quite different, without the glow, and remember people this is not an exact replica of the halo3 map, this map is based on delta halo, so some halo 2 music is to expected, besides, that theme is so epic, I simply cannot bear to part with it. If you can find me a better biped that uses the MC's physics, then I will use that, but I don't really see anything wrong with the one Ive got.

Also, you know those tubes where the sentinels are suppose to come out of in guardian forest, well this morning I ripped the sentinel deployer hatches from Halo 2 and replaced the tubes with them, now they actually look like how I intended them to.

As of today Guardian Forest has only one tag left to add. the Guardian Sentinel, I have even got the script, currently I am using a placebo sentinel in place of The Guardian Sentinel to test the final part of the map and I can confirm that it works. However, i have two problems. The first is rather annoying, for some strange reason Guardian-Forest has a strange habit of crashing the game when I add certain characters or bipeds, I can now add the new guardian model to that list of bipeds, the old one that I made causes no problems, but the much cooler looking H3 one does. The second problem is one I am trying to solve currently and that is working out how to add markers to and then export a character with no moving parts and so no animations.

I will post an update of the map sometime next week, If all goes well then the next update will be the last version of the game (unless I notice some minor bug fixes that need to be made.)

I have also just changed that annoying arch scenery with improper collision geometry, here is a new one with working collisions. I may not be good are BSP's and characters, but I can model scenery when I want to.

Not sure how much this has changed since the build I played, but I would personally prefer an actual h3 tag set with this (asp or zteam) so it feels more like an actual h3 mission

kool, I will add them in then.

problem. OS_Tool cannot compile the map with the new weapons in because it is too large. Is there anyway to remove this file cap, I would do it with tool pro but because I've already compiled the map before with OS_tool I cannot compile it with tool_pro. any Ideas. (I can take the Halo 3 weapons out but...)
