As we all know, there are some great projects that are in the works; but there are ALOT of arguments and ALOT of trolls that doesnt allow these amazing projects to gain progress or updates.

So I ask all of you, as a community, to PLEASE stop trolling one another, stop picking fights, and work freely on the creativity mindset you've set on your awesome projects.

Comment if you agree that this community should continue to express their greatness with no distractions!

I agree but just saying that won't change anything. It's like asking nicely to North Korea to become a democratic country, you can't expect anything from them.

Yup, pretty much.

I understand. Here, there's more trolls and arguements than seriousness.

I think that people need to be more supportive of newcomers, noobs who need to learn their way. For example, you shouldn't label their projects as trash right away because there's better out there. Instead, you should tell them what they're both doing right and wrong, and give the advice. (I know there's a few people that do this, but still).

As for trolls, somebody even mentions something like, "lolz yur project sukz get a l1f3 do u 3ven l1ft br0?" just ignore him. He's the one that doesn't lift.

I've mostly left this forum because of the hostility that goes around in posts, both large and small. (I've only gone on every now and then to ask questions about Sapien.) I know that it's easy to get in an arguement, but they get heated really fast, and soon everything breaks loose before somebody either tries to take it to PMs, or Dennis tries to stop it. And if Dennis doesn't stop it, then somebody else comments on the flames.

Well, that's it. This people have intense potential. That's all I can say. Thank you, and goodbye everybody. :)

The term trolling is outdated.

So should we just say "being an a**hole"? That less outdated?

I call it destructive criticism.

I wouldn't say that many people are trolling, it's just a select few that are incredibly hostile or judgmental and don't get along with others. This is a disjointed community, but it's not so different on other forums.

The only troll on halomaps has been the same person on a different account continuously. It's not even really a problem.

Id have to agree with this. the reason this forum has issues retaining halo fans is Trolling
is out of control. Trolls if you want to keep the game alive, Stop trolling start helping the newbies and maybe halo will live for another 10 or 20 years.

A sometimes-uncooperative forum and half-done tutorials can only help us "noobs" so much.

on my own, but with most of the "help" being unclear, I can only get so far...

but, you learn to ignore the trolls

there is a difference between making something from scratch and taking other people's work and combining them together, like the differences of making a cake from flour and eggs and mixing a cup of noodles. anyone can make a cup of noodles if they read 2 lines of instructions, but all they will know is those 2 lines. when making a cake, however, each step can branch out or be extended into many other things, more than what you can make with a cup and some noodles.

I am a huge fan of this community, and I would love to help new members learn how to mod halo. I have even started making tutorials on my youtube channel (also Yoda73811).

I personally just ignore the trolls, they are idiots... but who really cares?
