Hey, I have Halo CE and HEK but Sapian and guerilla doesn't work on my computer, I have wanted to create a map but can't.

I have many ideas for maps and i wish i could make them my self...

I am a fan of the RPG Beta maps and really like the ideas within them (RPG Beta 6.2, Activate halo, leg it)

As I can't make my own maps (Doesn't like my sound card, its too much for sapian to handle) I was wondering if anyone else is happy to make the maps for me?

Although i can't build the maps i could do a image of what I would like them and what tags i would like to have in them.

I know not everyone would like to do so but I really want a map that i have put some input in.

Its up to you guys,

just to warn you noone on this forum will make a map for anyone else untill that person has shown previous work or enough skill to be respected by at least a part of the community.

on the other hand i can help you with your sapien issue, what exactly does sapien do?

like he ^ said if your pc can run halo ce then it can run the hek. so copy and paste the last entry in the debug.txt file in the halo ce folder into a post so we can read it

Cheers guys... I request a map because my computer can't fix the problem that Saipan has and you say this... All I can say is get a freaking life...

Orangejuice, thanks, I will post it soon. Cheers dude.

The problem is the sound card is too high, I have windows 7 and managed to make it work, my sound card is Dolby advanced system, great surround sound system, because of how it runs a lot of old games won't work or the sound wouldn't be there, in my debug.txt file it says the sound card is "too low" try's to fix this and then freezes, call that fixable?

So you want us to make maps for you, then tell us to get a life.
Seems a little bit hypocritical, doesn't it?

But go ahead and post a drawing or something, and if people decide they like it, they will make it. Its pointless to make a thread like this and not post anything in it.

no reason to get snappy with us, were just trying to help. i'm just suggesting that there is a way to fix it that you do not know about. nothing wrong with posting the debug. the thing is everyone is a bit wary about this because plenty a newb has come onto here under the same excuse of my pc wont run the hek and requests someone make a map for them.

and your attitude will only make people less likely to help you, i would model a bsp for you but i am swamped with schoolwork and my own tagset that i'm working on.

Sorry, tired and got a little peed off after hours of trying to make it work... For the people who do want to help me, although there not good, here are some pics

also could i have red alert buttons on the bridge of the PoA, working vehicals in the hangers of both ships and hall ways in both ships, not teleporters? and one more thing, possibilty of having AIs on the map? Captain keys, crew men, if possible, cortana?

bloodgulch.bitmap is corrupt, re-extract it.

If thats the reason, i will start kicking my self...

I extracted it last year, i can't remember how...

Got board and made some hud stuff, won't be putting them into the game, no idea how to.

Also, if you DO have sound in halo, Don't try to make your sound card fully compatible. It isn't worth the effort because even with hardware accelerated audio, Halo can't prodoce 3D sounds properly anyway: You'd need windows XP and a 10+ year old Creative sound card<

Actually, there is software you can use if you're using a Realtek sound card or a motherboard with Realtek sound on-board which somehow allows modern cards to use EAX.

Halo can produce 3D sounds properly if you do use EAX. Although even without EAX, most sounds work fine. If your sound isn't working correctly, there's an issue with your computer. My sound's fine. :/

Sound works fine but the debug file hates my sound card so ya know.

Also my sounds work fine on halo.

well you will need a 3d modeling program

register here and download 3ds max 2012. MAKE SURE YOU SAVE YOUR KEY SOMEWHERE SAFE

or if your feeling real adventurous try this:

(in my opinion its way better than 3ds max and its free as opposed to 4,000 dollars)

you will also need a .jms exporter

if you plan on taking 3d skills anywhere, i would recommend 3ds max over blender. The student version of 3ds max isnt limited at all, only in the sense that you cannot legally open student models in commercial versions (max told me when i tried at school)
its $4000 software for free. Blender is designed free. 3ds max is used everywhere. Its a no brainer to me IMO.

There's no need to lock yourself into a single piece of software. The skills you learn in Blender can be transferred to 3Ds Max (vice versa too).

In terms of the generality of 3d, that is true. Im simply stating it would be best to learn in 3ds max assuming you can get it for free. Blender is not in any means bad software, its just that since you CAN get 3ds max for free, i would take it any day of the week.
