Pretty sure CMT will be releasing a spun off version with the new TSC:E island once this is out. i've tried this already but i suck with uis so...

Update!Chocolate Thunda and I been hard at work on the Universal UI update, cleaning up the interface and giving it a fresher look. Here's a WIP ingame screenshot of what all list menus will pretty much look like from here on out: We are combining the thin and wide list description boxes into one unified size. This will keep things consistent across the board and allow for less confusion as one navigates.

It looks pretty good, but why not have the picture fill the entirety of the box it's in?

But what we are planning on doing is creating a "carousel" effect by putting images from the previous and next list items on either side of the main image. Basically, as you scroll, so will the carousel of images.

They would have to go back and retake every image Well yeah, but there's only what, ten levels? I guess there are the ~20 multiplayer maps that would need new screenshots, too, but I figure taking thirty screenshots would be the easiest part of making a whole new UI from the ground up. Edit @Mooseguy: Oh, well that sounds like a decent solution. Disregard my previous comments, then. Edited by Echo77 on Aug 17, 2014 at 04:12 PM

The number of screenshots in the UI actually totals to about 105. It's a good chunk. I remember taking out a good week just to focus on those shots alone.
Fun times, man. xD

The main reason we decided to go with this font is because it works in conjunction with the sharp right edges of the updated interface. All of it together is aimed at minimizing curvature and promoting clean lines.

An argument could be made that Windows 8 is blocky (literally) however the font system is not. To me it just makes things harder on the eyes as people actually read the text, versus everything else where its all aesthetic.

Update!A lot has happened in the past week, and we are proud to say that we can see the light at the end of the tunnel. As CMT's appearance at PAX nears, so does our date to get things done in order to give them good UI for their demonstration. Here's a few pics of what is in store interface-wise: If you catch CMT at PAX, expect to see a near-release build of v1.1 of the UUI there as well. Our final finish date is within reach! We'll keep your posted. Edited by MoooseGuy on Aug 26, 2014 at 11:54 PM
