Lol guys, no need to list Multiplayer maps, as the engine takes care of those. I need more singleplayer maps to list. I'm hoping to triple the current list, at the minimum.

Are SPV1 and SPV2 really worth putting in there with SPV3?
I mean, if you guys really want it, I'll put it in there.

They can't be integrated anyway, they use the stock map names. They replace the stock maps and would have to be accessed then through the classic campaign ui.

Because the Flood Campaign is not close enough to completion, the initial UI build will feature only The Flood: Forgotten Exile (aka StKFT_v1). Once more Flood Campaign Levels are released, StKFT_v1 will be replaced by the Flood Campaign category. That's also why I kept it up at the top of the list. I know no one's mentioned it yet, and I doubt anyone will, but do NOT add dead halls. When I originally made it I had no idea how I was supposed to add the SP pause menu so I didn't worry about it. Because of this the only way to quit the map is through the console. And if you start up the map without devmode through a UI, you have no way of closing Halo without alt-tabbing out of it.

The E10 Demo map was a great attempt at a decision making singleplayer map. There were a few bugs but I liked it.

Man, what's up with people giving their maps these long-ass map names? I might have to make changes to the sidebar for this...

People like to use pointlessly long map names because they seem to think map names actually matter somehow. (Hint: They don't guys. You can just use codenames like... all of the campaign maps :P)

List has been updated to show expanded categories and map names. If anyone knows the map names for the ones that are (-UNKNOWN-), please feel free to post them. It would help a good deal. Also, I need more maps! I'd like to at least fill out a Page 3.

Quote: --- Original message by: TheHiralisQuote: --- Original message by: Btcc22Quote: --- Original message by: TheHiralis The map names don't mean much. "A10 A30 A50", if Bungie was a mapping team and they were to call their maps that, would you say that it's stupid and their campaign would never work, without hearing the full story or seeing it in even a miniscule piece of it's glory like it is now? Those are the names of the files, not the names of the levels. Big difference. So? The actual names of these levels are "ODST Orbital" "ODST Drop" "ODST Shock" and "ODST Troopers" That's not what you said originally and besides, prepending "ODST" doesn't really make any difference. Point still stands. Orbital Drop Shock Troopers Troopers? I'd suggest that you consider alternatives. ;) Edited by Btcc22 on Jan 7, 2013 at 01:25 PM

I agree with Btcc. Those names are obviously flawed. If they're actually the names of the maps and not just the filenames, there's something seriously wrong there.
Though names aren't indicative of the quality of the levels themselves, they still matter.

Partial detail is not enough, full detail please. I want to fully understand what drives such nonsense in people. Hell we named our maps Lumoria_A, B, C and D.

I do for once agree with Lodeman, The name of a map has no real impact on the creativity nor does it change the gameplay of a map. I really dont understand why you all are fighting over something as silly as a map name.

Hey y'all, it doesn't really matter that much. That's why this UI exists. I'm sorry if I inadvertently set off a war over map file naming. Isn't it really all up to the author anyways?
If anyone has further maps that they want added to this list, please post them. Pretty soon in going to start pulling maps from the lists on HaloMaps based on raw statistics alone.
