Besides, you're getting a personal edited version of the UI so you have nothing to complain about. :/ I gave my opinion on the question that was asked. Hey, I got a question for y'all. Right now, I have the Community maps sorted in descending order by overall quality level. Would you guys rather have them sorted alphabetically? By date? File size? Any opinions on this are highly welcomed. Thanks.

Are you talking about the Firefight section? Those are also categorized by overall quality right now. Unless you're referring to the overall Campaign section, in which case this is another CMT bash.

It's a consistency bash. Just go ahead with alphabetic ordering and stick to it throughout all sections. And per campaign do chronological.

In my opinion, you should order it alphabetically. That way there's no discrimination to old and new maps nor bad quality and good quality, etc etc.
Plus I personally order everything alphabetically. It just makes sense.

Alright, I'll order the Firefight and Community SP sections alphabetically, with the "folder" choices up top. Thanks for the input!  Also, I'm thinking of sticking all {NP} maps into their own "folder". Not because they form a continuous campaign, but because I think it's best to keep them together and have {NP} be recognized for their awesome work.

I've been downloading each potential map and testing it before submitting it to the list. If DTSP has no ending, though, it might go the way of Cleanup, which also had no ending. It's kinda bad when the player has no indication that the level is over.  But I will still test the map. If the end of the level is still obvious enough, I'll submit it. And yeah, you might be right about SaliSP. I haven't played it in years, but I don't remember really anything special being in there. But I swear there was a map that used the same BSP, that did have a storyline... And you could splazer things... Hmmm...

@Lestat: Alright, thanks. I see the (game_won) there at the end of dtsp. Seems good. I'll look around for that other map too. @Higuy: If I couldn't find the end of the end of the level with devcam, erasing all AI, and destroying all objects, I'm pretty sure not many others will.

Alot of the other listed maps are of similar "quality". Let's face it. The community maps section is just there to be nice to the less polished maps.
You can easily scrap half of those firefight maps, and probably the same with the sp ones, if you're going to rate them on quality...
Even firefight Descent, which you rated as nr1 firefight map in your initial list, I challenge it's place. For effort it deserved to be there, but not in quality. For that it had too much flaws. Campable places that AI couldn't reach, yet the spawn point is impossible to get out of because once you die it's surrounded by AI. In terms of pretty and effects it was very good, but not so much in terms of fun.
My point is that one individual shouldn't be responsible for determining the final quality of a map. You're not being consistent in the way you include maps, if you include other poor maps, then Cleanup can be on it too. Edited by The Lodeman on Jan 11, 2013 at 01:44 AM

Yeah, I can go ahead and do that, no problem.  Are the actual map files being renamed to those as well? I just need to know so I can adjust the map-loading. Hey guys, Lodeman had a point, and I guess I was originally throwing a bit of my own bias into the map selections. I am now correcting this. The alphabetical listing will get rid of opinionated sorting. If you guys want a map back in the list that I removed, just let me know. Maps I had decided not to include: Truth Island Pt 1&2 (Unable to do anything when pinged) Uprising (Unable to do anything when pinged, unbalanced play) Flood Eradication Beta3 (Game-stopping issue: Unable to save marines in base) Metropoli Assault (Confusing encounters, game-stopping checkpoint glitch) Dead Halls (Removed upon request by author; no pause menu) and Cleanup (Level has no clear ending), which is now being put back in.

i love that camera position.. are you going to add more Multiplayer maps too?? I have seen somewhere the map list (with pics, descriptions and .scenario locations) in the /ui folder.. there you can add custom maps.. but i think there is a limit.. 30 maps (including the classic ones..) idk, can't remember..

But that that's alright, because custom maps now have a much purdy-er pic that actually says "Custom" right on it, and a disclaimer. So you'll know.

Just thought I'd quickly point out that the description for that map is incorrect. A earlier single player map called Desertplat was uploaded on 11/8/2004 compared to BioHalo which was uploaded on 12/14/2005.
