I'm not gonna be focusing much on this project for a while; too much harassment from members of the community. I'm sure many of you know whom I am referring to (One of them even made a thread to complain about us not listening to his harassment). One user is doing as what they refer to as ""blackmailing"" (Really, I was expecting the leaks would start the moment Moot had altheros do shaders or whatever it was. Its amazing that tags have only been floating around a select few so far lol. Besides, they aren't properly setup anyways *shrug* Although, I do guess the ones they highlighted as their targets, are the ones that would have the least problems from lack of setup, so I guess you can mostly enjoy those assuming this leak occurs?)

I have plenty of other projects that I have stalled that I should be working on, so since this project is only causing problems, I'd rather put my focus on the other ones that aren't causing these problems *shrug*

This videos probably the last thing related to H2SPP from me you'll see till CE3.
H2+ style scorpion (Cannon doesn't change the body aiming, strafe changes body facing, etc) Sure, it sometimes exceptions right now, and the cannon is shaking violently due to the current control setup, but whatever, I'm off to focus on my other older projects right now rather than finishing that (because honestly, I'm perfectly fine with H1 scorpion setup lol)

Hey Kirby, how did you manage to achieve this? Does it use OS to do it?

It looks really cool.

People still deal with leaks? Pshh.

We were mature enough (most) to not even bother protecting maps anymore. Only scrubs leak maps and whatnot. Why even give out tags that work? If the pit got leaked, it would only be half the map...

And even then, it wouldn't matter because I'd still continue it.

Also, killer5000 or whatever has been a known leaker for some time now.

So, im going to assume you are speaking of my most recent post, the scorpion? The cannon is separate, with a delayed relocating (just because of how im currently checking its direction. If/When I ever get around to updating it, I will be changing to OS and mathematics to decide the direction so I can relocate the turret fast enough that it doesn't shake). Any time the cannon presses a directional key, I figure out what direction is trying to move (right now, im being lazy and just using animations to move attached scenery to certain points. I am using OS to check the distance, although you can use AI to do this without OS). If its left or right, I change a direction global variable, and a key pressed global. If it was a turn key, it will turn to match the direction variable, and if its forward it will move forward in said direction, etc. At this time, im going overboard with RAs (These are causing the exception too); you could technically do it with command lists if you want to load a AI into the scorpion body, or just play animations on the scorpion.

If you where referring to walking on scarabs, I went lazy and rather having the AI do any pathfinding (natural, or artificial(scripted)), instead I would choose that magical "screw pathfinding" option in the AI tags. I already had that option enabled in the buggers (which is why I did them initially), but really, its one simple flag. I probably should do artificial pathfinding, but whatever, this works fairly well as long as I only use it on bipeds that can fly after the scarab when they jump off.

Not funny. Everyone on here has talent besides people who steal work. Just attempting to use the HEK requires talent at pressing buttons. But seriously I don't think anyone realizes theres a little of us left and you are all still pulling the same bull$hit.

Yet the kids come to ruin yet more threads due to their struggles and school and not having the mental capability to intelligently take it somewhere else. Either that, or they are doing this out of their typical sheer stupidity.

Gauging one's mental capacity by what they post on the internet is a bit naive. People tend to run under the assumption that, online, they have immunity. Immunity to being judged, immunity to being attacked, hurt. For them, this is the closest thing to an uncensored forum, in which, they can say and do whatever they'd like. In reality, however, the internet is far from uncensored. It's also not free from judgement, as you've demonstrated effectively just how tolerant you were. The fact of the matter is, in order to get offended by one's harsh judgement, they'd have to value it. Few people on the internet truly care what's said about them. They have anonymity. They don't place value in it, because they believe they're untouchable. In reality, they are. If anything, the ones thinking they command an extended power of influence over someone they've only just met are the ones who lack sufficient mental capacity.

With that said, it'd still be greatly appreciated if many of the aforementioned seemingly immature posters would put some effort into using proper grammar and staying on topic. It's a destructive habit and it wastes people's time (for example, when I see there's a new post in a thread I have to think twice whether it's worth actually checking out). While you do have a point (bad posting habits =/= stupidity), it is a very real reflection of the lack of sophistication that is repeatedly found in drooling brats and insecure kids that use this forum as a means of outputting their worthless, impulsive jabbering, which in turn quickly degenerates thread after thread and brings down the entire forum's quality and reputation as a whole.

You know who you are, kids, and I don't expect you to be ashamed of yourselves - that also demands a level of metacognition and sophistication that I strongly doubt any of you are remotely close to achieving.

One can always hope, I guess.

ON TOPIC: Kirby doesn't owe anyone anything. If he'd rather continue with other projects, just accept it and leave it alone. It's funny, I remember a time when younger, less experienced modders used to actually respect and look up to the older, more knowledgeable members of the community, instead of threatening/blackmailing them.

Can't come up with credible counterargument so posts meme.

Makes sense.

I'd say something ontopic now to try to compensate but I think anything worth saying about this project has already been said.
