hunters need to be darker and bluer, not a word but idc, drones need to be as green as a fly's eye and jackal needs sharper detail, grunt is good though

Your specular is way off, jackals shield is off, I suppose the bipeds are using there halo 2 bone set by the looks of it.

The problem with the hunters is that the textures are too detailed. Needs moar texture filter/blur. Basically, dumb dumb the graphics until it's crap and it will look exactly like Halo 2.
I've always had something against Halo 2's half-a**ed graphics.

I can't help but get excited and misty eyed over this. I tried to dig out my copy of Halo 2, but then I remembered that someone stood on my limited edition case and scratched the disc whilst I was still at school… sadface.

Not even remotely possible, as we discussed up above, a Halo 2 Scarab encounter will even be challenging.

Exactly. Plus if you have dynamic Scarab AI trying to go after while the other AI standing on top of a VEHICLE and trying to path find on a veichle isn't even possible.

I think the scarab can still be made as a device machine with a clever placement of the AI's and their positions synced with time. And the head could be an attached actor variant

So the device_machine would have to be one whole massive animation to accommodate the Scarab's entire path each time the player encounters it?

This is a pretty good idea actually. It would sure make gamplay more interesting. As the elite's shields are running low, it can jump off and appear to commit suicide, just to disappear long enough for the shields to recharge and melee you from the back.

Is there anyway to add an invisible collision attached to the Scarab's edges that only affects AI based entities? (Don't kill me if this is a retarded question, lol)
I do like the Ranger idea, yet you have to be worried about how they may get stuck the catwalks within the Scarab's final path. Also (if use even use the Ranger) I would edit its model before the final version of this map with a non-space-based helmet head.

Not to tell the team what to do, but I think it would be better if the Halo 3 Scarab were used instead, mainly for the sake of making this feel "new" and not practically the same Halo 2 campaign ported over to Halo Custom Edition.
