We cannot win in this situation.

There is no community consensus to follow about the stripe. People are literally E-screaming at us [here, and previously at Modacity] for being terrible people for the idea of both keeping and removing the stripe. At a certain point we have to say "you know what, it is a yellow stripe on a texture on a weapon. It is not something big or integral to the project's definition. Even people who know what they're talking about seem to be on both sides. Let's decide something so miniscule for ourselves."

If we keep the stripe we are yelled at by the people who think it's a horrid gaudy scar on the AR's beautiful visage. If we remove the stripe we are yelled at for purging the weapon of all its character, turning it into a bland, lifeless, gray husk.

In either case we get told we're a horrible team for not listening to input.

Eventually you have to make a choice.

Also can I please ask that this not be turned into a TM versus CMT discussion? I only see bad things coming out of that.

Each team excells in very different areas. TM has very experienced members in their own specialised fields, we just aren't as known as CMT because they have been around longer. But we clearly excell in the fields in which we all specialise, this goes for both teams.

You continue to troll without providing any arguments that have actual content. You clearly have no idea what you are talking about. Stop trolling.

And as lag said this is not a TM vs CMT thread. But I won't let some random kid publically ridicule us for being of a "lower level" than CMT.

I say keep the stripe, I liked it. Doesn't matter whether it gives character or not, I just prefer the way it stands out more - especially if you want to find more ammo for it in grey areas (a10, c10, c20, d40, for example).

On the level "Keyes", the Master Chief was originally meant to burn the captain's skull out of the Proto-Gravemind with the Flamethrower and retrieve the implants. Could we see something like this in SPV3?

That would take more effort than it would be worth to add in new animations, when the punch through the face is already cool enough. Right now Lag's busy with other animations anyway while I'm touching up some FP things on my side.

Right now the main focus [should] be on A50 as well, so it'll be awhile until anything goes into "Keyes."

Well, here I go. When the Flood injects the FSV (Flood Super Viruis), it also injects a bone weakenier to be able to burry through the chest cavity. Once successfully in control of the host, the parasite is completely able to start the mutation of the human, elite, or brute.

@Masterz1337 Thank you for awnsering! Anyways, I love the new textured skin for most of the weapons. However, you could lower the light settings for the UNSC weapons, this is mostly because it is giving more of the light to the weapon, making it unable to completely function as well.

The only thing I find superior to SPV3 in those pictures is the assault rifle. It looks incredibly undetailed compared to the plasma pistol and needler you guys did. The firing effect also looks alot better and more realistic in HA10, more so becuase of the orangy-ness.

Part of the problem there is that the front of the AR is all blurry thanks to HCE's lack of anisotropic filtering. Here's a better view:

to enable anisotropic filtering if you have nvidia, just activate the game on the nvidia control panel and bump it up to the level your pc can handle

THEN show us the pics of that sexy gun

I prefer you don't speak for me. I did NOT notice the camo until you blattantly pointed it out with a red circle. It's barely noticeable.

For the rest, I like the needler and pp, but find the assault rifle very bland despite the little eagle (which frankly is placed in an odd place and detracts the attention from the center of the screen).

Also the Needler's firing effect looks like that of the AR but simply recolored, I much prefer the more unique Halo CEA one, although I like your model more.

I also don't see why your plasma pistol seems to eject green little balls, makes no sense. It should simply be plasma plumes like in CEA since plasma is superheated gas etc.

Still don't see what's up with the whole SPv3 > Ha10, plain old CMT arrogance I assume.
