Honestly, the only thing that I see that is inspired from Reach is the thing on the top of the Plasma Pistol and its' core. Is there anything more? Edited by Gurdy on Oct 1, 2011 at 01:41 AM

For some reason I'd expect the supercombine's explosion to give off sharp shards, rather than the clean "smooth" explosion you have currently.
On a sidenote, all these graphical improvements, how will they affect performance?

As for the performance, it's difficult to say since we don't have dozens of different computers with wildly different hardware specs at our disposal; on my laptop's Nvidia GT 540M, it knocked an avg. 76 FPS down to a staggering 74 FPS, but I can't say how representative that is of older architecture. E: oh, and if, like me, you lock it at 30 FPS so that you don't get the idiosyncratic animations and effects, it's pretty much a moot point anyway Edited by Ifafudafi on Oct 1, 2011 at 01:46 PM

It's not "sharp" enough to my (and 6 other people according to youtube) liking personally. A screenshot is nice and all but when I see it in motion it feels way too soft. The huge soft cloud stands out much more than the shards at the end (which I frankly didn't even notice). And even in that screenshot, those "spikes" which I am assuming are glass shards or something, I would expect alot more of them coming out of a super-combine explosion. This is all just my personal opinion though, I won't lose sleep over it if you don't take it to heart.

Yea. SPV2 was awesome in that fact. The added BSPs made it an entirely new campaign, in my opinion.

Quote: --- Original message by: kornman00 SPV3 > HA10? It's more likely than you think Completely disagree. Elabortion: Halo CEA remodels the entire campaign including the BSPs which is more than just fancy environmental shaders. It is also a title that runs on Xbox 360, so I'm asuming the new BSPs and stuff have higher poly counts etc. For the rest it's personal taste, CEA uses classic tags whereas SPv3 is something different. To each their own. But from a techological point of view, I don't know why kornman would say something like this. Perhaps an odd form of humor. Edited by TM_updates on Oct 2, 2011 at 05:35 AM

Wow its been a while, glad to see the mods back on track for completion, only problem is don't have Halo CE installed onto my laptop :/ And no one seems to be selling a copy of Halo CE where I live now. Anybody know whether or not I can use my old Halo CE copy and use the same key to install? Or is that a no? Also is there a place to buy Halo CE online, as in to download it? Thanks in advance, and the mod looks outstanding so far, cant wait to play it.
