SAME!!!, wow you must have some high quality shaders if it's almost like halo 3 keep on going guys it's great to see a team so much progress 'cause no offense to TM mapping team (the guys who do Lumoria) I havn't seen that much progress so far.


Maybe becuase we actually want people to be surprised when they play our mod. ;)

Yeah, your stuff is great but it is kinda of annoying the lack of updates but Higuy dose have a point because it is really surprising when you see anything it's just seeing that walkthrough on ce3 just left me hanging for more but I guess I'll have to wait.

Also with the new needler effects is there going to be a new super combine particle affect or is that still the same?

That is Awesome! looks really good when it's combined with the effects, now is it just me or does that look like a halo reach plasma pistol?

(this post contained a response to the quoted one that this is indeed a custom model/skin, it will indeed be appearing in spv3, and that I personally haven't done much animating recently so there isn't much news on that front)

it's hilarious how much of a difference adding normals to weapon models can make.

this engine may actually start looking reasonably current gen if people start taking advantage of sculpts and hi-poly.

Nah I actually really like it I don't think it dosn't fit in mabye if you just see it in game it might be better and I like it to 'cause it reminds me of the bubble forerunner thing in halo wars. Really good job guys I think thats what all needed to be drastically changed and you did it YAY!

Everything looks so much better, except keep the old Healthbar from the previous page. Seriously this new large healthbar looks worse.

Yeah now that I compare the two of them in my opinion I like the bendy segments more then the straight rounded edge segments but I honestly don't think it matters because they're both good health meters.

I personally liked the hexagons, put em back. Why make everything plain jane cream o nothin perfect? Ad some style, flair . . . 17 pieces of flair to be exact! XD - but honestly, reduce the size of the hexgons in the radar slightly, or increase the opacity, or put a bias relief on the circle similar to the weapon/ammo to give it a raised effect - or give the radar/sweeper a hex shape to fit (since bias on a circle wouldn't look as sharp) with a hexagon gradient for the sweeper.

Health and shield meters look nice now. I still feel the top-left and top-right portion of the HUD look a bit cluttered however. Most notably the "bullet-meter" thingy, just looks very busy. And that hand on the top-left could reallly just be removed and contracted by moving up the grenades themselves.

Also, if you can do things like this, why not a grav hammer? A grav hammer would be a great addition, making the brutes seem tougher to take out.

If they are Custom Mapping Team, then why the hell are they making reachy looky thingys?

I'll tell you why: Because they look good. Like they did for SpV2, they made the AR Halo 3ey.

Wait, most of that was custom then...

I wonder how many reach looking things are there...

Hmm. I used the hammer most on halo 3. In my opinion, it is better.

But the thing thats used to make it look like this, aside from Specular and Normal is something else.

It's just a new specular reflection system for shader_models based on the phong algorithm (or similar - only Firescythe knows exactly how he implemented it), why are you making a big deal out of this??
