Alright, this is getting far too out of hand. This is going to be my last post here for a while because the entertainment value of this has dropped severely since the beginning, I'm going straight to you Gurdy, put this mess to an end once and for all

First of all, this whole thread was started on the basis of there being a green splotch on the texture of the elite's leg. Well did you ever stop to think that it was a simple shader or UV error? i believe that yoko mentioned it was something dealing with the shaders that caused that issue. Plus, that picture wasnt meant for halomaps, it's one of yoko's Xfire pictures that she took sometime back.

Next, You Mentioned something about the coincidence that Yoko's name backwards becomes 230-50 right? What does that matter to anything. "05-032 Mendicant Bias" is an old Forerunner AI mentioned in one of the books i think. If you're honestly going to go ahead and match this to being a conspiracy to help bungie advance their plan to take over the world, i would say you're just joking yourself here.

230 Subtract 50 becomes 180. True that if you do a 180 from 12 on a clock you end up with 6, but what about the other numbers? 1 gives you 7, 2 gives you 8, 3 gives you 9, 4 gives you 10, 5 gives you 11

That voice recording im assuming is grunts and yoko talking about yoko releasing the elites. You may not realize it but those elites were WIP and yoko was planning to release them soon enough anyways since she was almost done with it. The day that Grunts leaked the tags was the same day we had a testing to help check whats wrong with the tags. Grunts got pissed at one dude and raged at yoko because of it, thus leaking the tags (bad move on grunt's part, caused all this misconception and etc, its a pain)

Original CMT was named Conversion Mapping team because they would port H2 maps into CE, Then turned into Custom Mapping Team, known for SPV1 and the BRG. Community Mapping Team is part of the old CMT mixed with some newer people, led by Duce. The Original Custom Mapping Team are the ones in charge of making SPv3.

This thread started out as a joke, and a very well written one at least, if not a good one. Gurdy, whoever the heck he/she is put a LOT of effort into this. He obviously has been around here for a while, long enough to effectively tie aspects of the 'community' into the story-line.

But you people, YOU PEOPLE, can't you take a joke?! Naturally, people are going to reply, as intended, and of course many of those responses are going to be stupid, as expected. What I can't understand is the people asking why this thread hasn't been locked and those pointing out that it's fake. First of all, of course it's fake, this is some kind of interactive creative writing project. Is this how you see the world? Is your pleasure entirely dependent on the realism of things? You're like those people at the movies who criticize them for being, too unrealistic. Or worse yet, young children who have to go out of their way to spoil Santa Claus for the other kids. This reminds me of back in school where certain children felt so compelled to point out the immaturity of their peers. Yes their conduct is immature, but it makes them happy. Why would you choose to view things in a manner that makes them bleak when most others enjoy them? From what I've seen it appears to me because they believe their cynicism makes them feel superior. Which is actually quite pathetic.

As for those asking for this thread to be locked, why? Does this concern you? If you're uninterested, why post? How is this thread disruptive to the others? What makes you believe you can drop, in pass judgement, and destroy a thread you have no interest in? What right do you have over the behavior of others amongst themselves?

Even Dennis, who generally isn't very fond of this type of nonsense, has a soft spot for it. Whether it be out of respect for the author's hard work, or a genuine interest in the project's development, he's allowed it to stay up all this time. Well, that or it the whole 'letting these things stay up so you kids can learn what's out there and maybe actually grow up,' or however he said it.

Why does it always rain in Chinatagtown? I don’t know, but it seems like every time I stroll down these gloomy streets nowadays there’s a grim, neverending rain pounding down upon us - as if Nature herself has decided to oppress us under her iron boots, in lockstep with the Reds. I bet you all feel very silly now. I warned all of you this would happen – I warned you about the Reds, I warned you about the rise of CMT, but who among you had the fortitude to act? Patrons now huddle against the tag-shops lining the street, neon signs reading ‘SAUCE’ casting light onto the crowds fighting for the latest build.



See, ever since Yoko and Grunts – that old dynamic duo that I told you about so many months ago- spilled the sauce, even the underlings can make a profit off of that Kornman and his fascist cronies’ work. Honest, hard-working shaderers are being driven out of business thanks to this unfair market advantage. This is a fixed tag-conomy being run by the shadow Red state and, my God, we’ve let this happen. This is all the doing of the Red Occupation and it is all as I foretold.



In the scheme of things, though, Yoko and Grunts are still smalltime crooks. Even with the (failed) bombing of CE3, they don’t have the leverage in this community of communites to wrench such a powerful tool out of the hands of such a brutal, repressive dictator. Legends have fallen before Kornman’s dreaded HH – the Halomods Halowarriors, his forum moderation special forces. You ask yourself, how do a pair of street-hands get their hands on technology as valuable as the Sauce? Who knows, but with the convenient emergence of yet another resistance group entering into the forefront of the conflict, you can’t help but think that something is up.

I am speaking, of course, of the T.M. Syndicate. The T.M. Group. Lodex and Higuy.

T.M. have repeatedly decried CMT’s attempts at utilizing the sauce, yet they let it flow freely from their taps like some sort of cheap wine. While CMT no doubt uses it for diabolical purposes in their yellow-stripe weapon factories (and guess which color is right next to yellow? RED!!), the T.M. Corporation is preaching that gameplay purity is what will stop our fortress-forums from collapsing in on themselves. They see CMT’s radical socialist agenda – CMT’s claims that one day, if we live under their brutal yoke of yolk-colored stripes, we will all be able to enjoy the sauce of freedom. They claim that only their great wisdom is what will stand against CMT and support the common tagger’s lifeblood. And of course, even the most simple-minded child realizes what T.M. stands for – Titanium Metal. The element used in the production of Open Sauce cans. Even their name suggests the freedoms of our capi-tag-list yesteryear. Look at what Lodex posts about when trying to blend in as a “normal” member –



Alas, this struggle is all too familiar to me… Modacity’s administration stood for the same ideals. However, like the Modacity administration, their arrogance is getting the better of them—they fail to realize they don’t have the means to combat a threat as great as CMT. They try to talk up their own platform, accusing the CMT leadership of being arrogant. However, this is all just a clever ruse to fool people into thinking that others are arrogant, when it is T.M. itself which is arrogant! They claim to be a simple mom-and-pop modding and counterrevolutionary operation, but these ludicrous attempts must be based on something.... something else. There is nothing of visible value to these men, there must be something more… Where are they getting the means to carry out the rallies, to produce the Titanium Metal they smuggle sauce in?

To find the answer to this question, you must look inside the walls of Fortress Halomods. Run by the sluglike dictator Kornman, Halomods has been reduced to a ghost town. Instead of providing housing to its few remaining citizens, ‘Korn’ has turned the fortress into an immense factory focusing on the production of ‘Sauce’. Last night I made my own journey to the Fortress, looking to question the leader about his anti-T.M. efforts. He invited me into his grotesque lair – his throne which was made completely out of Korn albums and his many rugs made from the skins of innocent modders who just wanted to help him improve his software - and we feasted together on a great meal, with all sorts of dipping sauces provided free of charge. Clearly, he was not shy about his immense power and wealth. I eventually slipped away to have a look at the factory campus. I managed to sneak past a pair of guards and found myself in the canning line. There, I made an astounding discovery: all of the cans had the ‘Titanium Metal’ logo stamped plainly on the surface. How could the faction that spoke out against open sauce be tied together here?! Were they being framed, or was everyone in cahoots?! I didn’t have time to ponder this revelation. A guard spotted me and I high-tailed it out of there. I spent the entirety of the night sneaking under barbed-wire fence tags to make it back to friendly ground.

Could Kornman be in on this? No. He has too much invested in CMT to ever deal with T.M. Could he be framing them? No… There must be something more.

I sat in my swivel computer-chair this morning thinking about what to do. About what connection I could possibly be missing… I thought back to how this had all started. I pieced everything together bit by bit.

The Core wanted to bomb CE3 to cause a distraction. To this end, he used petty criminals Yoko and Grunts. When they failed, it seemed he had been stopped. But then, he recruited CMT back from out of the ashes. He had them stamp out the other CMT – all an act designed to consolidate power under Masterz – who I have since determined to be a high military official of this perverse Red Guard. CMT came to reign just as it had in the past, and all the poor modders were crushed beneath its gargantuan footprint. Who could hope to stand up to their professional shaderers armed with the full fury of sauce?

…That’s right. CMT uses sauce too. They use it heavily. That must mean that this was all planned in advance, all designed to get an illicit commodity flowing through Halomaps. Just as the Soviets used the Hollywood Ten to try and spread their communist ideals through America’s treasured art of filmmaking, the Core was clearly trying to use CMT and Open Sauce to create some sort of disposition towards communism. It was all making sense.

Kornman was just a supplier lucky enough to be useful. It’s no secret that Red China was willing to embrace some unconventional business practices to stay economically viable. Kornman’s role here is one of a profiteer. I thought back to my journey to his lair – come to think of it, that sauce factory seemed a little run-down. What if T.M. had simply set up shop and were using it on their own – and then holding up the faulty product as evidence of Kornman’s incompetence!? Yes, I was onto it!

I now shall reveal the most terrible truth of all, as I logically deduced from the flawless logic chain I proposed above.

We’ve all been had. All of these events are designed to create a theatrical fall of CMT and Kornman so that TM can hold up their false light of glory like a terrible Red siren, waiting to draw in all of us innocent mappers and taggers to our demise.

The Core has every reason to back Kornman—he knows that Korn has the technology to save this community, and the power that comes with it. That’s why he works through T.M. to downplay OS’s effectiveness while still managing to fund Kornman to maintain the safeguarding and production of the technology. However, that means CMT’s use of OS is more than simple greed. They are trying to control the sheer destiny of the entire community. However, Masterz and his thugs don’t have the means to steal the sauce from Kornman, let alone use the technology they have stolen. Only one man has the means to do that.

We must stop him.
