No do not ask TM, Yes TM had decent Encounters but they still sucked,

I still have not seen a decent Encounter yet.

Well I have but thats a different story.

@Gnade, quit trying to make me look bad with your lies. I shall say this here and I shall say this only once: I rated e10-e60 7/10, and I only rated it once. Noobyourmom has been notified about your attempt to make me look bad and he knows the truth. It would not surprise me if it is you or your friends who is behind the drop in rating.

That is all I will say about this attempt at making me look bad.

Now let me take a moment to rate OpsY's map:
- Nice atmosphere set in the first map
- Decent ideas...
- Which unfortunately aren't executed nearly as well as they could have been
I am glad SP projects are being done, however I assure you that we would see alot better SP maps if people would just work together in an organised manner. The talent is in this community, you guys just need to pull it together.

Xoronatus' Review:

Pros:

  • Creative ideas

  • Unique Cutscenes :D

  • Nice Warthog Part

  • Decent Story

  • Music


Cons:

  • Poor Encounters

  • BSP needs work

  • Textures need work

  • Very glitchy

  • Ingame transition between gameplay and cutscenes wasn't good



Overall: Very Unpolished, kind of fun though, needs a lot of work. But very creative. :)

is there any way opsy can do an update on the map?

Things that need to be fixed:

Change Fp arms (not very important but the site has better looking arms)

Set the biped to use SPARTAN animations (i played the map in third person mode and man do i HATE playing with marine animations)

Cutscene transitions need work and I'd love to be able to pick up more weapons

Troop placement and ai are a bit too dumb for my taste. I believe Gnademassa may be able to help you with that

The reticule needs to be fixed on those huge motar gun placements in the second level

But GREAT JOB ON THE CINEMATICS AND MUSIC if it weren't for the problems listed above, it would have been up to par with lumoria.

Forgot to mention...

I played the "Covert Ops" series and, while it's creative, it most certainly isn't better-designed than Lumoria.

Yes. but it's the most recent COMPLETED campaign with any good gameplay (and it did star an ODST).

Can't you allow someone to fix it up for you? I would really like to play a h3 odst with better sp anims and nice fp arms (although i shouldnt care about the arms, I usually play in 3rd person when i can)....

Well I hope he uses what he learned from the first release in Part 2...
The music was EPic and I loved the cutscenes, very finely polished btw.
Hope u rig the Odsts to spartan anims next time though.

Yes, the cutscenes were nice.
Textures and weapons, and all the other bugs were not.

No, he can't do that or the ODST would be force-scaled to the size of the cyborg, which wouldn't look right at all.

I'll be sure to check the Biped issues for the next set of release, which I'm not expecting any time soon by the way. Current status:

RPSP_S60 (nick named Guerilla)

My laptop sucks for gaming, so there are moments in which I go to shoot an Elite and a few Grunts and the gun does nothing. But that's my machine, not your map.

I think the only issue I had is when I booted up the first map, at the end of the cutscene "The Hell You've Always Dreamed Of" Halo CE switched to the normal Halo 1 campaign. The only fix was to go delete every single one of my normal campaign maps so that I could play farther.

I love the music in the maps and how you use the chapter titles for dialogue. The only issue with cutscenes I found were some small grammatical errors, but those are really nitpicky things, so don't sweat it. Just an English/Education major's pet peeve.

Just replayed a bit and for some reason my laptop cuts out the music at moments. Not sure if it's the laptop or the map...kind of a n00b here :P

Going off of that, is there music for the opening fly-over over the Battlegroup Odin? If not, and if you're planning a V2 or an update, you should add some. Maybe use "Luck" from H3

Yeah, I realized that after I read more posts about the stun effect, so now I get it.

All in all, OspY, you have a set of maps here with some awesome potential. I think that you should accept some of the offers of help, just to lighten your load.

I really enjoyed them, though I found a few glitches. I would like it more if the player was able to continue at the end of the last level and explore the ships/look at the marines for a bit. Other than that, good job! I like the use of the Halo 3 Frigate too.
