Looking better for a start, but there are so many faces for a flat plane o.o
Although i have no idea how to use Max or Gmax, so idk if that's normal.

Posting an image of progress isn't "expecting something 24/7", nor have ever asked or wanted anything of you. The second part is just "troll" cleverly, I have not hated on you and if you think what people recommend is "hating" or "trolling" I strongly advise to redefine them. Majority of post is hyperboles and insults, not sure why bothered.


Albrerto, please provide valid criticism on our progress, e.g. the needle rifle, bipeds, boneyard, swordbase, edited powerhouse, jetpack, ghost, warthog. Images are posted, just not regularly. You'll see everything when it comes out...

We use 'MT' in our names because we thought it gave a traditional feel. We have no desire to be 'pro'.

Also, I see nothing wrong with side projects. HRCEMT is for but one or two projects, and will be split at the end of this year. Haloverse mapping team was founded because Hiralis and I have similar interests and both would like to do a small project.

Also, please note that HRCEMT are coworkers with FRMT, and we support FRMT, but we are not part of FRMT as far as I know.


Please note that we are making progress and this is a hobby (for fun) and we owe you nothing.

I consider trolling or flaming a word to describe commenting to benefit only the person who is writing's ego. Trolls are generally frauds when claiming to be better than another person.

Any counterproductive/unrelated/negative comments that I find do not contribute to the thread and I will PM Dennis, and personally make sure that privileges are removed. This goes for anyone.

Hiralis, I lol'd at you, again and again. Hmm, was that the scout biped? I was just asking how sphinxbio made it since he rips almost everything from other people's maps. Seriously though, why would I want your crap when I can make better? I already have the entire halo 3 spartan permutations currently for valhalla. Cheddars' been asking me for my halo 3 stuff and I was not willing to give it to you guys since its not complete, and then Cheddars would give it to everyone on the team, and possibly someone could leak it when it's not finished.

I have more stuff than you guys as a team have.


EDIT: Dude, Hiralis, there are too many uneeded faces on that map, It looks much better, but stop tessellating it. You can use 1/4 of those faces by using the Shift+Drag on the edges then welding all the vertecies.

Why didn't you do it then, if you think us such idiots? A leak of unfinished content would only make FRMT look bad, not you....

While you may have more stuff than FRMT as a team has (which I severely doubt, seeing as no, not everything is posted on these threads), is it good? Is it original? Does it beat HRCEMT, FRMT and Halo - Verse mapping team, seeing as we are an alliance?
Say yes, and I believe I am right in saying you are an arrogant, fraudlent little ****.

P.S I thought everyone had Halo 3 stuff now? You're hardly special by having a load of bipeds already used in 100s of maps on this site...

I lol'd. Maybe you should go research more on the forums and on the website before you post.

And those load of bipeds you talk about. Nearly 90% of them are beta spartans, and the rest of the 10 % are from sphinxbio and his friends who don't smooth the spartans and weld vertecies and have extremely bad shaders.

It's not like this team is progressing at all, except for spartan314, keep on modeling, you're going great so far. The rest of the team is ripping like anyone else and it's not even reach nor flood related. Then what's the point of naming this team FRMT.

Actually, h3 flood infection and tank forms have been developed, and various reach bsps, vehicles and weapons are being worked on. Also, I've seen some bipeds with very good shaders. I notice some of the crap ones too, but there is one map that's really realistic with a good visor that I have. Can't remember the name of it. I don't think it's a beta spartan....

It's because Hiralis doesnt think before he posts and he keeps feeding the trolls by commenting back about them. He used to act like he was the boss of FRMT but then................................................... I don't have to say it anymore. He is an arrogant little child who makes assumptions yet too quickly without any evidence of the fact. To think that he though I would actually want anything from FRMT.

ok, guys, the old thread got deleted and this one is on the way to getting locked, can you all just stop fighting?, or at least take it to PM and let the thread be for progress reports like it's meant to be?, so please stop fighting and get back on topic, i'll start, for one i do not rip, i am currently remodeling my DMR to make it look ...not stupid, and am still working on my plasma repeater, please stop picking fights and keeping it going, all of you should try to be the bigger man\woman and drop it, i know i'm not the most mature person, but please, most of you are acting like children

Sweet. To be honest, the only reason I founded HRCEMT and not a little partnership (which would probably be more effective) like you're doing is because I didn't know the community, had heard of other mapping teams and had recieved many volunteers.

Ok ma. this is enough.you have been the one that has been bullying hiralis Wich I think personally isn't right.you made promise you couldn't do such as getting the bone yard bsp ingame.you have also been rude,selfish and stuck up to everyone on xfire that just needed help and you are very hypocritical when you say 'oh no you guys started to rip' cause your xfire screen shots are full of rips including portal.

FRMT was on the bottom of my help list. Sorry cheddars. I would help get boneyard bsp ingame, but it will cause phantom bsp collision because of the different way halo 2 vista has its map properties.

I never considered ripping was a bad thing. I was just saying that, once the team started ripping "HALO 3" stuff, I knew the team wasn't working on much compared to the name of the team. Cheddars, there's nothing wrong with ripping, and I didn't intend to make you feel bad about ripping, but seriously Hiralis, is an odd ball.

so i'v been messing around with the ghost and i can't figure one thing out, in reach it looks shinier, i'v been trying to make it but i can't figure it out, is it possible to make it look like it has a polish on it? because i can't get it, iu'm also working on the hogs secret >:)

Yes if you scroll down to the bottom of the shader (the one you want shiny) it says reflection map.browse to the reflection map (cube map) you want and set the reflection map properties (those boxes) and adjust them to your liking

Are you kidding me?
That map has about the same number of polygons as one of mine, and about 1/3 the detail. Remove all those damn faces. They aren't needed and aren't worth it. Here, I modelled this in 5 minutes, and it is 80 polygons. How many is yours?

I didn't bother with all the details because I really don't want to devote my entire afternoon to this and my point is illustrated clearly enough in this example. Plus, most of the stuff is extrusions and isn't forerunner and doesn't belong. You basically have 2 walls that are a giant clusterfudge of tesselations and extrusions. That doesn't look forerunner at all. If you want to do forerunner, look at the "forerunner ground base" tutorial here on halomaps. It does a better job of explaining forerunner than I can, and provides a great example.

i'v noticed that from outside forrunner structures look upside down they defy the normal, look at a forrunner structure upside down and it looks like it's supposed to be that way, not saying this is the right way, just something i sough

If you play b30, that opening beach structure is a great example of forerunner architecture, as well as the underground hallways. I believe one of the artists used the term "streamlined industrial" to describe it in the Art of Halo book.

Personally I would just start over, since it's easier to not add faces in the first place than it is to remove them, but you can also just select the vertices and hit backspace. Or alternatively you can weld the vertices.
