Get over it? No. My post is constructive criticism and fully valid. Tbh I doubt you will find many 3d modellers who use tesselate to model any object, but rather use it to add extra edges to a face where they need more triangles, and then they will clean the edges added so that none are wasted.

No need for that, you should listen to crit that is given to you rather than get all butt-hurt over it and reject it and say you will do what you want.

What kind of pathetic excuse is that? - It's indoor's. I'm sorry, but are you a LEGO MAN? Because last I checked my house seems to have MANY shapes WITHIN shapes and not just square extrudes. The FPS's loss will not be worth it at all as all you have is extruded objects coming out of the wall, and let me guess, the texture is going to be the stock metal textures found in the data files? Yeah, thought so.

Delete it and start over, don't touch the tesselate button, it's restricted to you from now on, that is if you are going to listen to someone who knows what he is talking about... Listen to Elefant too, his example is how you should be modelling, although that are edge's there which can be welded to the corners.


There, you see ALL OF THEM SHAPEZZ?!! coz that is how it should be done. Whilst I'm wasting my time on someone who I really doubt will listen I might as well make an example.




Somehow you have even got errors in your mesh even though you have just simply selected a load of faces and hit a button. Heck, how long did that model take you? 30 seconds?

No more excuses now ay, listen to what we say, we know what we are doing. You don't, simple as that.

well, i'm bored so someone post a progress report on something, i'll start, i am making a reach jetpack biped to go with the tag :D, i will release it (hopefully on this site) and it will come with the tags for jetpack, and the script

What exactly is being dropped? You have nothing to drop, make sense will you...

And why so? Is it to amazing for the public to see!? ... :S - You need to show it, from what I have seen so far you need crit in order to progress.

sigh, has anyone ever heard of xfire or PM?, oh whatever. i'm sure FRMT will never die!!!, question of the day, i am making a reach jetpack biped, i am using the CMT spv2 biped, and i have modeled a jetpack on it, the spartan itself is textured but not the jetpack, i have no idea how to make a character but since i have made the model. i was hoping someone with experienced could try?, i made the gbxmodel and tried to link it up with the H1 cyborg and all it does is crash sapien, so can someone help me or should i ask on the biped [WIP]?

check out this thread http://forum.halomaps.org/index.cfm%3Fpage=topic&topicID=36953, i have fixed all of the problems with the damage effect and now it wont lag on multi player so >:P, anyway the biped still needs to be made even if your not going to use the damage effect powered jetpack

it does still lag?, so HIRALIS lied when he tested it and said it worked?

i will upload an image, can anyone suggest a site to upload?

please keep in mind that i said that the jetpack is still unskined, but the biped is rigged

I like tinypic. Photobucket seems to have a lot of removed images.
On tinypic, you choose a file to upload, enter the captcha, and you copy the "direct link for layouts". Then Press the button when you're posting a message here on the forum, and past the link in there.

lol you want it?, here tis, DON'T RIP IT ALL AT THE SAME TIME, YOU'LL RUNE YOUR HOLE TAGS FOLDER, rip it one folder at a time characters cmt ect, one at a time, so heres the map, use HEk +, and it will be located in the cmt\characters\cyborg folder http://hce.halomaps.org/index.cfm?fid=5144

ok look at wha the link is, cmt has shut down the team leader released alot of tags, theres no ripping anything that you shouldn't be, the map is unplayable, it's designed to rip the tags from it, try researching before you post next time

You are again talking about What you dont know. CMT has shut down because of leakers in summer 2009

Got 4/5 of the needle rifle done. Just need the top scopy thing. Then to make it less boxy and lower poly count. Then to give it to cheddars to unwrap. :D Will post a pic soon.

Yep. I just need approval from a FRMT founder. But I haven't spoken to anyone but Hiralis in a while.
