Definition of trolling: Either, asking a completely stupid question sounding ignorant knowing full well the answer just to act funny. OR, someone who posts a messages in an online community, such as an online discussion forum, chat room, or blog, with the primary intent of provoking an argument since every time i post you accuse me of being off topic and try to get a response out out me then yes i would call that trolling. And even if i was accidentally off topic. Your the one that keeps it going. So lets all just drop it and Get BACK TO FREAKIN VALHALLA!!

Problems are being caused here no matter who posts. Each and every user should think about whether a post in necessary or not.
I've only ever looked to answer questions in this thread. So, anything that people post here that's not a question only hurts themselves/the longevity of the thread.
Okay cool.
I should get started on the decal footprints soon enough. It that doesn't work, I'll ask for those decals (snow only).

  • Finish Spartan Shaders

  • Finish warthogs

  • Moar shaders

  • Uncountable amounts of other stuff

You can use the flowers from Lumoria if you like. Also if you don't want too, I suggest making 3 different kinds (big clump, small clump, and single).

Thanks, I'll use Lumoria's. And the other detail objects are in sprites of threes. Three or four different grass/shrub details came in the bitmap I ripped, so I just made them into sprites.

the lumoria flowers were pretty and worked well for lumoria, but idk... no offense (cuz i loved lumoria [r.i.p]) but they seem too fruity to be in valhalla... or if u put them in tone the colouring down a bit... idk im not trying to tell you what to do im just giving my opinion on it

That's true... Lemme check Lumoria's scenery/detail objects and my valhalla videos again.
Oh, and I've realized that you can right-click detail objects to delete them. Who knew?!

TL;DR: I'm currently placing grass efficiently.

@grunt_eater, how about that new grass? did u post the updated version? i like the idea of stand-up grass, however, like u said, the one in the video kinda looks a bit flat.
i also think the blades of grass cross each other too repetitively, the pattern reminds me of an anti-tank barrier. the blades of grass need to be more random, short blades, tall blades, bunches and sparse areas.

@slappy, i too think the flowers in lumoria looked fruity, how about u just use the less colourful/bright flowers or change the colour of the petals to something less bright and use them together with bunches of grass in random spots, like near the cliffs or on the edges of the hill in the center of the map or around the crashed pelican?

I didn't show the update because everyone said that it's not supposed to be scenery and instead detail objects and slappy said he had it covered

I've been looking at vids and have decided flowers aren't really necessary.
I've finished putting in detail objects-- beta will be ready once I get a few things working.

I can't get on xfire. Just as I got it working, YESTERDAY, the april 11 update comes out. Xfire crashes my computer again.

I will only give the map to certain people. Why?
-The details of the map are WORKS IN PROGRESS. This basically includes all shaders and all scripts, some of the tagging, etc. They are not ready for release or playability, and I don't want this uploaded to halomaps.
-I con only trust so many people. I don't care about most of the tags that are in this alpha-version, but a few should not be leaked because of the credit the tags deserve. A lot of people deserve credit for things (pelican, bitmaps, shader work, weapon tagging, vehicle models, etc).

We've been trying to get my computer to host a server, and it's not working. Something with my router/server port?
I guess qwerty would host a server for online testing at some point.
