Well if we're doing multiplayer, I think our best plan is to make Reach tags. We need weapons and vehicles. Then we can put them in, and then texture the maps.

Almost done modeling my reach falcon it can only have one gun thanks to halo ones crappyness.And all thats left to do is finish rigging the gun and add in the seats then it's off to be tagged and then i find out how to skin it

Isn't there a script or something that allows a vehicle to have 2 guns? Or am I just fantasizing again?
If there's only one gun then how about making the 2 turrets one vehicle gun (like a ghost), and having a panel on the falcon (Press "E" to operate falcon turrets) and then going into 3P camera to shoot with both turrets? Of course only one person would be able to man the guns then but that's just a last resort idea.

Um. Maybe because that would give one person a ton of power and no one would be able to take them down. Plus the turrets are supposed to face different ways and if they don't then one is going to be shooting across the vehicle the entire time. The vehicle will still have the same amount of seats just not two guns. the left side will have a gun and the right will be kinda hanging out and shooting more than the others can

The second "turret" i believe can be done, for player usage via scripting forcing them to pickup a 3rd weapon (and making the seat FP), + view restrictions. It would also require a script to force them to drop the weapon too. I don't know if this is possible, but it might be.
The second turret would be a forced pickup weapon rather than an attached object, so the Engine will allow it.

If i can get the script than i could do it. make the second turret and make it so it's not a gun and instead it's just animated so that the person in that seat controls the animations so it looks like they have a gun. one problem i see, couldn't they just switch guns like in the passenger seat of the warthog?, i mean you don't really want plasma rifle bolts coming from a turret or the script taking away an assault rifle and giving them a turret to carry around

It'll be restricted to the turret only in the gunner seat. Like having a flag. It's a 3rd weapon, but you can't switch to the other ones when you have it.

In order to make it so it can't be switched out and automatically picked up you have to check must be redied and that makes it so if you shoot then it drops the weapon. I tried to do this with a machine gun turret

So Halo 4 is going to consist of a massive flat plain with a bunch of forerunner structures extracted from the CE campaign? Is that it? Why not try to model your own forerunner geometry, like this My worry with this project is the overall quality, after seeing the quality of the material presented so far, I and many others don't have high hopes. I think it would do you and the rest of your team some good to change your priorities from large amounts of content, and instead focus on making less at a much higher quality.

You know. I'm really sick of hearing about how there aren't any reach bipeds, except the H3 E.V.A with a black visor and a lame skull. Those are from the MYOS. you =screwed for using that, They are under s CC lisence by Shimmy and StealthSP2. Also, no textures on them.

I just edited the mesh a little and edited the Shaders. I planed on giving credit and protecting the map. So i sough nothing with it. I won't be releasing if it's got a CC license but i didn't see one So i don't know

Alright, well that looks pretty good for a rough draft. I've got Gmax up to shape, starting to get the hang of it a little bit. Got my maxscripts working, can do some basic editing with meshes, finally was able to create a polygon (it wouldn't close before :P wow im a noob). Still need to play around with the material editor until I can get it working and making me smile too.
Yeah, let's get this party started with that groovy h4 music. I liked, it feels sort of Halo like, because it isn't too orchestral and COD sounding.
EDIT: YES!!!! Now I can also use the material editor thanks to Higuy's tutorial again!!!!

Noble Actual will be a last minute thing. Also does anybody have software to rip parts from other CE .map files? It will make stuff a lot easier. HEK isn't compatible atm with my PC. Also, my JMS exporter still doesn't like me, so any models I make, someone else'll probably need to get in-game.
