I was not referring to you Superzilla and have understood and accepted your reasoning.
On another note, here is a Team Roster based on the old one and recent volunteers. A couple of people have been deleted seeing as they haven't been here since the first few pages. I don't blame them, and apologize for this. It's just that I'd prefer active members:
Petera275 Basic Modeller, Scripter, Tester, .scenario Creation, Story Creation, Concept Design, Organiser
Cheddars - Ripper, Organizer, Map Tester, Uvw Unwrapping
Hiralis (Private Caboose) - Modder, Tester, Map Populator, Concept design, Weapon Modeller
Maniac1000 - Object Supplier, Supporter
ODST_nick - Weapon Textures
Spartan314 - Weapon Modeller
Sphinxbio - More Tag Supplement, Supporter
JEDI - Tester, Supporter
Rub3n - Tester
Muscl3r - Single Player, AI Enhancement
Xoronatus Tester, HEK Editing, Voice actor volunteer
Grunt_eater Sapien stuff, Custom concept in-game creation (armour abilities), tag editing/modification in guerilla, beta tester, opened edge fixer, BSP's conversion
Spartan 279 - Voice actor volunteer, Awesome artist
Amazingcuziam - Modelling volunteer
Superzilla - Voice Actor/Beta testing
-----------------------------------------------------------
I assume everyone's alright with this. If not, I will willingly edit your areas of expertise, or add/remove you from the roster as you wish. Some of these members cross over to FRMT also. Edited by Petera275 on May 6, 2011 at 12:25 PM Edited by Petera275 on May 6, 2011 at 01:54 PM Thanks for the props on the artistry :3 but im not really a part of this team, nor do i wish to be, partially cuz of the lack of organization and worksdone (im not even gonna mention the word quality cuz idk if there even is any) and im busy with my own project. If i see some progress, i might consider helping (if wanted)

We'll be posting progress soon anyways. The people listed as voice acting volunteers, such as you, aren't actually part of the team. That's a mistake on my part. They're actually just temporary voice actors, unless they ask otherwise. So yeah, sorry about that. Haha I also realise we are highly disorganised. This is why I'm trying to pull the team togther now, as I am nearing the end of finishing the map models etc. I haven't done much recently due to side projects. In case you missed anything, here's two recent random models: Derelict UNSC Frigate in an asteroid field: The frigate was modified to have a hangar, large hull, multiple access points and battle damage. There is also a destroyed H3 longsword somewhere. Yes, they are modded rips. The other base is a large asteroid, the biggest in the picture. There is also a large piece of ship debris which will be a teleport recieving point for snipers. This map will be the equivalent of a smaller hugeass, in space, with jetpacks. A Doctor Who TARDIS. It is actually a hybrid of the designs from 4 different generations of TARDISes. As you can see, there are no textures: Edited by Petera275 on May 6, 2011 at 04:59 PM

Lol okay, good idea. Anyone wishing to voice act, please name the character(s) you voice, then say a few lines from the script of the character(s). Either send submissions to petera275@hotmail.co.uk, or upload the files to mediafire and PM me the link. The script is here: http://www.mediafire.com/?p1olodwdlm5y1x1I have made no edits since the last release, so dialogue may still not sound like the characters. You should already know what the 'Chief and Arbiter sound like, but there are also other characters. The following link contains a Halo Legends episode. I couldn't be bothered to upload my own, so yeah. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ex_jwLtM4Uk&feature=relatedThe blue guy with the Spartan laser/knives is Fred. The Blue EVA chick is Kelly. 117 is the 'Chief. There isn't even an official picture showing what they look like. They can be completely custom -made, with sweet suits, like noble team. Also Superzilla, Fraps starts automatically on my PC. And also why not make the asteroids vehicles and in their physics tag make them have zero gravity, So they can spin and move around freely

I've had a look at the script myself, and it does need a fair amount of work on it. Just out of pure curiosity, have you read all of the Halo books?
Simply because a few snatches of dialogue seem to be out of place for a few characters, that's all.

Yes, I use Audacity. It'll probably just be a case of pitch editing, wierd effects and stuff.
@UBE Chief I have read The Flood, The Cole Protocol, The Fall of Reach and Ghosts of Onyx, and also had a look at a couple of those Halo comics made by Marvel. I realise that some dialogue is especially awkward and out of place, such as the Arbiter's. Seeing as the Sangheli never refer to the 'Chief outside 'human' and 'demon' as far as I know, and it has become apparent that the Arbiter has a grudging respect for John - 117, I found it fitting for him to be referred to as a 'brother' or 'friend'. If you can please point out any unfitting dialogue, it would make life a lot easier for me and the voice actors. Thanks.
Also, on a more fitting note, I realise the topic has been fairly boring recently, and there has been little progress posted. Be sure that we are nearing the end of the listed projects, hence I am trying to be a little more serious with the group. I thank you all for taking your time to visit this rather long thread. Not to sound snooty, Petera, but I've read (from start to finish) Fall of Reach, The Flood, First Strike, Ghosts of Onyx, Cole Protocol, Contact: Harvest, Evolutions, and (just recently released) Cryptum - along with all three comics - and Legends, the movie :x
From that, I can honestly say that Mendex doesn't talk a lot - except for battle situations; Halsey holds some sentimental feelings for the Spartans (II and III); the Spartans themselves focus more on the battle first before petty talk - and hardly use profanity (being trained since the age of six does that to a person); John, as we all know, is the "strong and silent" type. The Arbiter might still call John "human", but in a more friendly tone.
Now, for the dialogue:
Fred: Go to hell!
No. He should say "That's...not going to happen." - a little saying that John said to 343GS at the beginning of the level: Two Betrayals.
Dr Halsey: I see negotiations went well. I could really use Cortana right now.
Mendez: Ma’am, this is no time to get sentimental. Company, let’s get to the portal controls, maybe we can get out of here.
Reverse this. As I said, Mendez does not talk often unless it's in a battle situation. Here's my revision:
Mendez: I see negotiations went well.
Halsey (scoffing): Let's try those controls. Maybe we can find a way out of here.
Spartans (in unison): Yes, Ma'am!
John: Affirmative. Engage all robotic automatons, but do not engage the Dreadnought unless it engages first. Am I understood?
Crewman: Yes sir (salute).
John: Good job, Lieutenant.
It looks alright here, but there are a few things off: John's dialogue is a little too long in the first bit, and the second part is just unnessisary. Revised:
John: Affirmative. Engage those Sentinels, but don't fire on the ship unless it fires first. Understood?
Crewman: Yes, sir! (salutes, then leaves)
(This next part is just my revision on the entire communication for this scene)
John moves to the control system, activating the comms systems.
John: This is SPARTAN–117, responding to a Priority Alpha distress beacon. Any UNSC forces, respond.
Dr Halsey (on comms system): John? Is that you?
John: Doctor? Might I ask what you're doing on that ship?
(old version) Dr Halsey: I realise this may be inappropriate to the topic at hand, but what news do you have on Jacob and Miranda? (Halsey already knows the fate of Jacob, having seen the relevant data from Cortana - as read in First Strike)
(new version) Halsey: Well, John, we're trying to survive, being attacked by Sentinels and their Forerunner masters. Care to give us a hand?
Cortana: Forerunners! Some did survive! How fascinating! This could be an excellent opportunity to fill the gaps on the events of the Flood war!
John: Now isn’t the time. I don’t think they’ll be willing to talk. Dr Halsey, what are your requests?
Dr Halsey: Evacuation would be nice, John.
John: Understood. SPARTAN–117, out...and it's good to hear from you again, Doctor.
Halsey: Good to hear from you too, John. Out.
John (to crewman): Scramble the figters and prepare a flight of Pelicans, we have friendlies on that ship!
Crewman: Yes, sir! (goes off to a PA system)
Cortana: You do realise that current figures show we’re heavily outnumbered?
John: Yes...but I'm the lucky one, remember?
Cortana: Sometimes you never change – wait! Slipspace rupture detected!
John: Who is it?
Cortana: It’s the ‘Shadow Of Intent’! The Elites have come...but for what reason?
Thel 'Vadam/Arbiter (over comms systems): Apologies for the unexpected arrival, friend. Word spreads quickly. I heard of your mission, and I admit I could not resist curiosity. Would you mind if my Phantom came aboard? I’ll be happy to assist the boarding party.
John: Granted, Arbiter.
(next scene)
John: Welcome, Arbiter.
Thel 'Vadam: Enough with the niceties. We must free your brothers.
John: Agreed.
The ‘Chief, Arbiter and, if the player decides to take a dropship with other men, some ODSTs, have a short battle to the control room, where everyone awaits them.
Kelly: John? Is that you?
John: We’ll have time to talk later. Good to see you’re all in one piece, though. Now, let’s move!
The SPARTANs escape the Dreadnought in the Arbiter’s Phantom, the Dreadnought is destroyed. (You never stated HOW the Forerunner Dreadnought gets destroyed. Self-destruction? Did the Chief and the other Spartans set a charge on the engine core and detonate it?)
Jesus, that took long - and IS long to read. Hopefully you read through it all, I think I've made quite a few improvements to the script.

seriously, not to bash on your team. but i have seen very little progress or updates on topics like this. ive been dropping in to take a look at what some of the teams are doing. and most of it is arguing, or one member doing everything. the future of the modding community looks small. not to say it wont last. just that not alot of members are doing much to note. What you'v said right here. You don't see it, because a lot of it's going on behind the scenes. And we'v got weapons and vehicles, granted not all of them but still, we're getting there. Once you have all of the tags done the rest is just a bunch of BSP's and scripting So it may take a while. But think of it this way. Do you see all of the halo 3 maps converted into ce yet?. No but their getting there, like the valhalla remake slappythepirate is making. we'll get there soon enough. But i'm sure if it takes 14 years people will get tired of it. But the original reach game didn't take THAT long

Don't let this happen. Far too often, I've seen teams get absolutely nothing accomplished because they spend far too much time developing an insignificant story plot, with voice acting and whatnot completely valued above actual game functionality and progress.

nooo. The first thing you ALWAYS do is develop the story, what weapons and vehicles you want, and then your encounter designs. THEN you go in make your vehicles and weapons, and get them down as best you can. Then start producing low poly BSP's, get gameplay down, and keep on moving. Sound comes last, most of the time.
