Really I am, is everyone waiting till the full release to make stuff from Reach? Or is anyone not bothering?

Uhh, no. Quality > quantity, would you rather have 100 terribly animated and shadered dmr's floating around, or 1 nice well done balanced dmr released ._.

You have to realize that Halo Reach is built with an entirely rebuilt engine. Resources are used differently. So people who try to make a weapon, like the Assault Rifle, will have a lot larger poly counts then any other weapon. Even things from Halo 3, so really it's just a matter of optimizing things properly so they don't overkill tag space.

well, i made halo reach weapons and im planning to release asap! (as soon as im done that is :/) and they use CMT animations...so im not gonna release yet, and i hav NEVER played halo reach b4...i made then as a request for {FTD}spartn and now im planning on releasing it...

(i made the MA37 and DMR)

actually, "some" users dont really care. Its just they're happy that they have reach stuff.

So far, people are supposed to be doing that, and skinning it, but are 'too busy' with other things. IVEE, I know, works in real life with his father a lot of the time so his leisure time is shorter than most of ours. Dano is gone (as if he'd skin it anyway), I don't know what Disaster's doing but he's probably 'too busy' too, and that's it for any great-superb skinners I know.

Seriously where are all the skinners? This community has almost none, it's ridiculous.

No, that model is sub-d 'd , meaning it has a meshsmooth or turbosmooth modifier on it.
That will increase the tri count at least 4 fold (probly 16) .
That model is designed to use a low poly model and to bake the details of the high poly model into the skin for the low poly.
That model is not designed to go ingame.
Hunter did say all that in the readme.

Just because you haven't seen it yet doesn't mean there aren't any.

It turns out that half the people here who keep clamoring for open source don't care about whether the tags are open sourced as long as they get it.

Only if someone develops the ripper and releases it, which probably isn't happening. At the moment, the number of people modeling Reach models themselves is phenomenal.

Also, who ever skins the halo reach stuff, don't be a spartan 094 and just UV the model to the ripped reach textures.

A. Too busy to get stuff done
B. Too lazy to get stuff done
C. Won't release out of selfishness, spite, or because they're too busy or lazy (see A and B.)
There you go.
Also note that a vast majority of the pictures you see are Works in Progress, and if you want better results, don't rush the author.

Hey you, guess what, you dun get fixed reach sniper grunts did that I fixed the uvws.

Also your not on enough to bug me to do a new custom unwrap for the DMR so I'm not bothering with it because I know got school to deal with, I just might do another unwrap if your not acting like a female dog.

Also bear in mind I'm not the only person that's doing this. If you have some issue just ignore it, I do what I want and I made this clear a long time ago.
