My only guess is that it is just the school schedule that drives the traffic. There does not seem to be a direct correlation between file releases and downloads and new Halo game releases do not seem to affect the results. Halo 2 in Sept 2004, Halo 3 in Sept 2007, ODST in Sept 2009 and now Reach in Sept 2010 and the trend stays the same.



I really don't have a clue why it stays so popular. I just know that it does and all predictions of it''s immediate demise have proven to be 100% incorrect.

xD yea i know someone that's like that... totally wrong xD in halo some people camp in order to survive not to kill (especially infection gametypes) besides the noobs of course... sniper can be 1 shot even with shields... Cod does have noobs, every game does, and people that spray...

Even several CoD die hard fans that i know said that Halo: Reach was awesome and that they'll play it... so yea... Anyways people will do anything to win... and fan boys will say anything to make people like/dislike a game...

I'm pretty sure all you can do in Halo is spray, considering there is no ADS, and the accuracy is not great on any weapon other than the scope-able weapons.

also, halo has what halo people call "energy shields" so yeah... you cant hit players with just 1 shot at the body with a sniper! (unless health is really low)

Do not compare the two with obvious time lengths. Especially since those people got it backwards, in CoD, you spray, fire noob tubes, camp, camp corners, and die easy.

Shields suck. This is exactly why I hate Halo MP D:

halo players should never hate on CoD...they are practically two different kinds of games. halo requires almost no strategy, yet CoD is realistic. you can camp corners, (your SUPPOSED to expect that) you can snipe and kill in a hit to the chest, which only makes sense....
halo is more like in the"shoot the crap out of the other person in any way possible" category.

I don't understand; the fact that you lag out of your own lan game is the reason more people are downloading files now than two years ago? Your original proposal was that the release of Reach would “kill” the popularity of the Halo CE game. The chart shows that the popularity of the game has gotten greater over time, (more downloads of maps) regardless of the release of new games.

also i been seeing lot more post about halo CE on halo reach stuff, the people who have been playing halo CE are telling the new halo fans (halo 3 and up) about halo CE

if ur host i dont think even if ur c4 spamming you cant get kicked out, actually i dont know i havent host my own game for hella long, people stop joining people servers unless its a dedicated server these days


also back on the topic of reach, bungie was talking about the falcon how it would be different in SP and MP, so if my reading is correct the falcon in SP would have the seat for a driver, two chain gunners plus additional seats for passagners? and for MP you only have seats for the driver and two chain gunners? am i right or wrong?

Well may be able to remake Chiron TL-34 and Derelict. But I won't put them both in one map.

if any game developer was stupid enough to do that, they wouldnt make ANY money of their game whatsoever.

Its one thing to be realistic, its another to make a fun game. Infinity ward was looking for a balance between being kinda realistic yet still being fun...

Man what would it be like if we all played as grunts in a Team Slayer Match!
And the only weapons that we could use are the plasma pistol, needler, and magnum.
Like in a small map with over 24 players in it, that are all Grunts.
