The music I just hated. Some of it didn't sound like halo at all, which kinda ruined the feel of the game for me.

I catch on to characters quick (being an actor IRL helps that) and I became attached to them as a team. The only one I didn't feel connected with until the very end was Emile because he says so little in correlation to you throughout the game. I do think the game should have focused a little more on their back story, however. I guess this sort of thing definitely shows the difference in fans.

I think the music is great. Of course, I listen to Halo music a lot too since Halo 3, so I can pick out a lot of Halo themes from it. Tip of the Spear is definitely the best piece though. I also think New Alexandria is a great work as well.

I think the music in halo reach was the best yet, and the story wasn't horrible... but i did only feel sorry for jorge and emile, i'm not really sure why though...

It's not the graphics, it's the damn skyboxes. I spend half my time staring at the sky.

When kat died, i felt like i'd been shot in the head too. It was so sudden and it was just showing that even spartans can die like anyone else.

I give Halo Reach a 7.5 because they took out dual weilding.

Dual weilding took out true balance in Halo.
I'm happy they returned to 1-weapon weilding, because you focus more on your firing and meleeing, and you are now holding only two weapons in total, instead of 3.

Music didn't feel intimate, it felt foriegn, which Marty stated somewhere.
But I would rather go with intimate. It gives the plot more flavor if you are feeling for the characters, insted of feeling like you are in a place you don't know much about. Isn't the whole point of the Reach storyline to be an intimate plot about losing the planet and people you know so much?

The music was cued perfectly and fit perfectly IMO. I'm trying to imagine Halo Reach with the halo theme, and it seems like it wouldn't work as well as Hreach's music did.

Either way, Marty outdoes himself everytime.

tip of the spear was probably the most halo-ey track in there, in fact at one point it actually plays one of the parts from halo themesong. it's at 1:04

too bad the actual level sucked because you didn't actually get to go engage into huge open warefare with the others, bungie sucks for that one reason, and here I was hoping for an experience sort of like: http://www.xfire.com/video/1d4044/

I thought the halo reach music went very well with reach because the older music has more of an epic winning feel where as the new music has a dark feel, which i like.

They removed the bullet hose and allowed the AR to actually hit at a decent range. Woot.
I did notice however that to make their engin more "efficient" in campaign, they just clean up "useless" stuff really often. Too often. In one run through ONI Sword Base I noticed how ridiculously fast AI dropped weapons disappeared, and aircraft flying overhead suddenly disappeared twice.
The way vehicles explode into flames when they go into water is odd but hilarious.

I felt sorry for Jorge because he was my favourite character and he died for nothing. Kinda stupid how Six didn't offer to set off the bomb himself, being a cheap SIII.

Kinda disappointed that they did not stretch the server cap higher. Forge World had so much wasted potential because there could only be 16 players in it.
And that it probably won't be on PC.

Also annoyed at how the Field Marshal at the end can take about 40 shots from a DMR before falling on Legendary, but sometimes stupidly stands in plain sight, firing his Fuel Rod at you every now and then. So the final fight is not some exciting confrontation, no, it's just shooting 3 magazines of DMR into an elite while he watches, and dodge his Fuel Rods when they come.

they should have ctrl+C and ctrl+V from halo PC's elites onto Reach.

It would have been awesome.
