yeah hi, some people play games for the story line. when you give away spoilers, you ruin the "oshi" factor of the game.

if you know whats going to happen, it ruins the atmosphere of the game. why ruin the game for other people?

But they weren't links. I just opened the thread to check for anything new on Reach and BAM. Right there on the screen at least 4 or 5 people posting information about the ending of the game.

I like the mix of live action and animation in that video. This one was interesting as well from the Xbox channel. Most have probably seen it.

This takes place before Halo Reach: The Game itself. You can see that Kat has both arms still. When she gets hit by the Banshee bomb, the original Noble 6 you could say, took the bomb and delivered it onto the Covenant ship, thus blowing it up while killing himself. It is you, new Noble 6, who takes the place of the dead Spartan

That event is probably how Kat lost her arm, because she didn't actually die, she was still alive when the original Noble 6 took the bomb.

actually im wrong, after re-watching the video I was looking at the HUD 0:27 and saw that Kat's shield and health bar that she was still alive!!! i say ALIVE!!!!

Kat is running with a bomb to the Covenant ship's grav lift; whilst doing so a banshee flies past using it's fuel rod cannon to "attempt" kill Kat. Then the old Noble 6 takes the bomb and flies (jetpack) into the grav lift then throws the bomb into a large room in the ship killing himself & destroying the ship.

Woah... I thought Reach wasn't attacked by the Covenant until the level "Noble Actual"?
Then why is Reach already getting attacked in this video? My head hurts.

I doubt so... cause as you may know... the only known spartans at reach were those of the game "Halo Wars"... so the planet in the video is another type of planet, seeing it is how the covenant glassed many "human controlled planet"

They, the noble team and the previous noble 6, was at a planet (which was about to be glassed) before the events of the game, "Halo: Reach". In which the video opens with Catherine-B320 running across a battlefield in a ruined human city, holding an MFDD (bomb) while firing an M6G sidearm(magnum or better known as the pistol) with her other hand. Covenant ground forces, including Sangheili Ultras and Unggoy, can be seen assaulting human troops. The view cuts to show Jorge-052, supporting regular human infantry with his heavy machine gun. The camera briefly cuts to show a wider view of the battle, revealing a Covenant CCS-class Battlecruiser hovering above the city, while two UH-144 Falcons fly past the camera, their turrets firing at targets on the ground.

The camera then cuts to Kat's first-person view, with her arming the MFDD. A five-minute countdown appears on her Heads Up Display. She keeps running through the battlefield, and in the background, Carter-A259 can be seen assassinating an Elite. Several shots of Kat running are shown, one from first-person view of her firing her pistol and another showing the reflection of the Covenant cruiser on her faceplate. After Kat leaps over an obstacle, a Banshee swoops overhead, and fires a plasma bolt from its Fuel Rod Cannon. The bolt impacts the ground right next to Kat, and the explosion sends her flying through the air, leaving her and the nuke lying on the ground. The nuke is shown to have two minutes left in its countdown display.

Thom-293(the previous noble 6), arrives to where Kat is lying, briefly looks at her and then picks up the nuke. Kat's eyes are shown through her cracked visor as she looks at the other Spartan activate his jetpack, take off and fly toward the Covenant cruiser, entering the ship though its gravity lift. Inside, he rushes to a ledge overlooking a hangar bay where multiple Phantoms and Banshees are docked, and countless Unggoy move on the lower floor. Thom tosses the MFDD down and starts running back the way he entered the room. As the nuke flies to the camera, its display shows 00:01 left in the countdown.

The view cuts to show the cruiser from above, its shields fluctuating uncontrollably as multiple explosions bloom all over its hull. Text is shown on the screen: REMEMBER WHERE IT ALL BEGAN

The view zooms out as the explosion engulfs the Covenant ship, to the unknown planet's orbit, where more explosions and fires are seen in different points on the surface. Text shown:

Other things:
* The fact Catherine-B320 does not have a prosthetic arm implies that the events seen in the trailer take place before the Fall of Reach. This was confirmed by Brian Jarrard, who stated that the trailer takes place during the mission where Kat lost her arm. The Spartan who delivers the nuke into the cruiser is also implied to be the previous Noble Six, Thom-293. However, the trailer is intentionally vague about the setting, which may lead casual fans to assume that it takes place on Reach.
* Early storyboards of the trailer showed Kat's arm being severed, presumably by the Fuel Rod Cannon blast that knocks her down, but the scene was deemed too violent for television and subsequently cut.
* One Elite Ultra is shown to be wielding both Energy Sword and a Plasma Rifle, a combination that has never been seen before.
* A "director's cut"/extended version will premiere on September 6th, 2010 exclusively on YouTube.
* The amount of energy that would be released by the explosive device can be seen on its display (when Catherine drops it). The energy released would be 63 Terajoules. The Atomic bomb that exploded over Hiroshima during World War II released 60 Terajoules of energy.

I'm not gonna spoil anything for anyone but the only thing I have to say about Kat at this point is just WHY BUNGIE WHY????

Hopefully most of you don't understand this yet but you will and it really is a pretty big wtf moment in the game.

You may as well have just said "LOLZ KAT GETZ KILLED BY GRUNTZ LOL" (This never happens btw)

Spartan IIs were made to repel and oppress rebel forces. Spartan IIIs were specifically to fight the covenant. They have Nearly all the same augmentations. But the spartan IIIs werent trained since children, they are recruits of many kinds. but yeah. they are different.

edit: btw in the 'a spartan will rise' trailer, if you dont know, dr halsey is talking to cortana. and btw, This is not a spoiler because it was in halo 3 odst's tralier when the team gets interviewed (on xbox website) and buck says "I ran into a group of spartans on reach". so you will get to see him, and most probably and hopefully, masterchief HAS to make an appearance somewhere in the game.
