Hey guys, I've been experimenting with using rpg style conversations and such in Halo.
This is where I'll test my levels.

Known issues:

Overall- Stunned when health drops, cannot pickup certain weapons
E10- Keep weapon from Reach
E20- None
E40- Draco needs to be scenery, but the doors would need editing and I don't know how.

I can haz your impressions/critique/fixes?

I cant extract the file, i keep receiving a crc failed error.

I just downloaded it and was able to extract, so I don't think it's the file. I guess you had a bad download.

I played it through and thourght it was realy good!!

Problems:

1.change the names from "E" and "Z" to "accdevate" and "zoom"

2. Why dont the mareiens suffercate?

3. I sometimes had to search for the covernant to kill them

4. Remove some of your allies form the center room

5.spraead the inavtion arround the station

6. Record voce like you did in your other map

Appart from that it was good!

I really enjoyed it. The conversation function was really cool. Well done! Also I laughed when I found the elite penetrated with the sniper rifle.

Well, that was a pleasant surprise. The conversation system worked really well. This campaign has a lot of potential.

Was an interesting way to hold conversations and such. I enjoyed it, even though the encounters didn't make much sense. If you ever want help or need to add some extra features let me know.

^Trust me, you should download it!

I found the whole thing very fun and creative, the part with the sniper rifle was briliant.

Some parts seemed very unrealistic though, especially with the marine brething in the hanger and the wide open airlocks. The positioning of the phantoms seemed a bit awkward aswell. The elite pined to the wall stays up even after you pick up the sniper.

The Covenant cruiser just seems to appear without warning and the admiral driving away seems either cowardly or illogical.

btw, found the C4, fun stuff,

Can't wait for the others!

Instead of E and Z why not numbers like 1 and 2?
Should use some more fighting around the ship instead of the center, but overall its really good

The scripting commands only let you tested a limited number of input actions.

Maybe a couple things you can help me with...

1) Do you know of any female bipeds? Most lengthy campaigns need a damsel in distress, and Cortana and Miranda Keyes don't exactly fit the role.

2) If this is going to be a serious rpg with multiple paths and numerous endings, it will need multiple authors. In a future map (possibly the next one) I'm going to split it so that at the end you will have a choice whether to stay on Earth or chase General Jones to Halo, as seen in e40_demo. Would you (or anyone else reading) be interested in making one of those paths?

I thought this was really creative and fun. However, you have a lot to clean up regarding the AI encounters:

-Do not use Command Lists fore the AI to reach the center and make sure each AI's pathways to the center are clear. I saw quite a few AI wander away from the center (Elite Rangers) and some running into walls. Some were also not doing anything at all (a couple of Elites).

-The Marines with snipers are UBER powerful, too powerful and unfair, even against the Elite commanders and such. Give them different weapons, like a Battle Rifle, and also vary the weapons of the marines on the ground.

-The Crewman should have pistols after the fighting begins. It makes them not as useless and not so much as an obstacle.

-Make it so the hunters do not die from pistol shots instantly. You can fix this by going into their collision tag and unchecking the material with a box checked as "head."

-Make more encounters or make it that one encounter involving the Rangers. It seems more or less tedious walking around the ship to find out why you have moving dots in random spots.

There is some more, but I'll let other people point those out. Other than that, I enjoyed this SP. Probably the most fun in an SP I've had in a while.

Not really any female characters tbh. You could see if you can get some H3 female marines from someone.

Sure i'd love to help out. I think it'd be really fun, as long as you already have the bsps you want to use and such laid out- I can gather my own but you don't want to see any modelled by me lol.

I don't know. I think it would be cool if every author had a unique approach to the story, that way the choices would be unique and the player would have alot of different outcomes. Of course, if you want me to give you a storyline, that's cool too. And I'll be happy to show you how I did the rpg scripts if you don't know. The only thing I really feel strongly about is that I want to keep it clean, but besides that, it's wide open.

I also notcied that you can get inside the phantom if you jump and crouch on the window

Try using the "ai_force_active" or "ai_force_active_by_unit" commands.

(ai_force_active [ai] [boolean])

Lifepod pilot, but she isn't really rigged for anything but sitting. I messed around with giving her marine animations, but I couldn't get her to look halfway decent.

All I saw was me talking to Dover about what happened at Reach and me telling him that I'm retiring and the camera moving over to show an AR and a pistol.
