Like what? You can make custom animations to put ingame

(custom_animation biped "location\file" "name" true)

Thats not recorded animations. Recorded animations are alot more complex and better then custom_animation, however it was left out and isn't usable.

Recorded animations are really adaptable. They're not like normal animations that move the nodes around and so are limited to an exact model only. Instead, what they do is inject inputs into vehicles or bipeds exactly as if a player was controlling that biped/vehicle.

This is why you can run any recorded animation on just about any biped or vehicle: the animation is a recording of player inputs being played back. The recorder for recorded animations must have been a simple recording of your input as a player that the game saves in the scenario when you're done.

Imagine being able to just take control of a peli in Sapien at a certain starting point, hit 'Record', and just casually fly it around the way you want it to enter into the map, then saving that recording to be used in the scripts whenever you want the peli to do that. Wouldn't that be amazingly easy? That's basically how it must have been done.

Of all the things they removed from the HEK removing that was a huge missed opportunity for us.

its not going into halo. its staying in Max. Because we want HD. not low standard polly from the CE engine.

You do know, That halo Can support High poly models, And HD. It will take you guys to render a film like that ages, cos you dont have Quality Computers for that specific purpose of which other CGI Companies have. But i guess this wont be successful in my view so, forget about it.

Shade if your expecting somthing super detailed like a real CGI movie made by Profesionals. Can i ask you something? WTF are you smoking man. Were just a couple of guys who know how to animate in 3ds max and we al have the same kind of dream. so we decided to do it.

You built our expectations by bragging on how good of animators you were. Delivering someting that isnt to the standards you made people set, Thats horrible, You said you were going to be making a FULL length FILM with GOOD animtions and TALENTED animators.

Immediately when someone reads that their standards and expectations of this project will be high, Bragging will only get you nowhere if not applied to the right situation, This for example. I can give you a good example of Successful Bragging, TM's Lumoria, The Showed, They Bragged, They Delivered. You on the other hand, Bragged, Set people's expectations up, And didnt deliver. What the -blam- are you smoking, No. You are probably blind not to see the mistake you did. Good job on embarrasing youselves.

Also the reason why this topic is getting flammed (NOT trolled you idiot) is because of the complaints people are having with your delivery of the work you bragged about.

Also you said you have nearly everything made, and only animations to go. How about you show your content. Render it. Give the crowd what it wants, Candy. But from what ive seen so far from you guys, Youve only given trash, Nothing more.

You can't come up with a reasonable excuse why you hate HCMT so much if we haven't shown anything yet? This thread to was ask for help on the project, like modelers, textures, and animators. Shade stop expecting so high from us, we haven't said anything on how this project will turn out.

No, i am not jealous, I know myself. And from the looks of it you dont know me much. And plus, If lookig for recruits you should at least inspire them with you experience, Saying that you guys are doing a big ass project isnt, It shows how much work they will be doing. But here, I can stop the flame if you want, And in fact im fairly bored. If you can give me a concept for me to follow, I wont mind animating for you guys. Ill stop my hate, Ill help. Good enough?

If you shoot too high the final goal won't meet your expectations if you meet them at all. And if you don't (as 90% of groups that start haven't met or finished their goals) then you will be less motivated and move to something that's easier.

I would rather see this team be doing box maps and/or assets as their first goal and moving up as they meet their starting expectations. Then as you meet those, increase your goals. Start off with 30 second skits. Sucky 30 second skits show more progress than all the claims on the planet.

Just speaking from experience.

I Agree Dwood. we shouldve done that first so maybe then we wouldn't have gotten Flammed.

As of right now. I know its a stupid idea and i know it would be hell hard to do. but can anyone model faces for bipeds?

i get what you meant. you were telling us that it was a bad idea to think we could make this Super Epic. hell i dont think we could. i barely thought we could get a team together let alone make one animation. But now we have a team. so some time when everyones on we'll see if we can make a little Teaser for ya guys.
