Both all rolled into one.

HCMT: We have a team working on Cinematic animations. and another team working on in game walking driving and the easy stuff.

The in game team already has alot of people well everyone in SBP and HCMT is on the in game team. What we need are some people who can animate some cool Cinematics for us. and Hopefully make this Series the coolest show to ever come out of Halo CE.

New Update. We now have 2 people in it. also maybe to encourage more people...

The Big project is: were planning on making a Movie just out of animations and the movie will be...

Halo: The Fall of Reach.

and no not some fan fic version either. but the version by Eric Nylund.

I know it sounds like a big project. it is. but with alot of help it could be so much smaller then it really has to be.

Animating seems like a piece of cake for you guys. But it isnt, Do you know how F***ing hard animating something like that with just a mouse and mouse only. Its going to be hard. Plus If this is going to be in hce and going to be recorded, You would still need to Do the tagging, scripting, and other mandatory things to make the animations work. Its very hard, Before you start making a team which you guys wont do much in, Try to experience being an animator, so you know what is ahead of you. You guys are going to fail. Miserably.
No offense, You should have thought this out more.

^ learn how to use IK rigs and animation constraints and things become MUCH easier. nothing will look as good as mo-cap of course, but you can get some really nice looking animations working with constraints. dont be so quick to judge newbies. i was there when ICEE first started animating. to put it nicely, his animations wernt great when he started, but he kept at it and now he makes great animations. ODX has come a long way too.

give them some time. if theyre really dedicated, theyll learn, and theyll get better.

No, They want 3rdp anims. even with IK chain rigs, its going to be hard. It wont look very good if your unexperienced, also dont call on other peoples help if you dont know the weight they are going to be carrying until you experience it.

Edit: also, 3rdp anims are very different in the terms of how you animate it. I animate 3rd person, ALOT. im Good, But its to time consuming, To make a full length film like what those guys are aiming for would take ages worth of production, You would need a Team of more than atleast 10 people to make it a LITTLE sped up. People think animating FP and 3rdp are the same, They arent, thats why they are 2 seperate things. Also, if you guys are planning to make it look good, with fluent animations, You would need to have alot of time. Also another thing, Get concept artists, Or else the animation will have nothing to follow and will have no certain direction.
What im saying is, Unless You Get a Mo-cap studio or get alot of talented animators, It will not work, But dedication helps, but not just enough, Also you guys form what i know, havent animated 3rdp before which will also make it harder. Inexperience.
I wouldve supported you guys if you didnt mention that you were doing a full-length 3d animation movie. You dont know whats in store for you guys, Its going to be a waste of time.

Dont drop the team, Drop the project. Start small, then progress to getting bigger.

were not Inexperienced. Were a team of only the best. were not letting just any average Joe in here. only Pros. yes like i said this will be very hard. i doubt we could make it in 2 years. but its just somthing i think would be nice. cause theres alot of good animators out there. they just need somthing to animate so I Made HCMT.

You do know, that there arent as many "good" animators out there than you think, Actually barely much people do 3rdp animation, And the ones that are good, Probably dont have the time to dedicate themselves something that Just started, And wants to become HUGE and only just started. I gove you credit for effort but not completion. Because I doubt this will be done in full length, And finished. Again, shouldve thought the Project out more.

Since i know it would take 2 years at tops wit the people we have now for the full thing.

were only gonna make the first chapter. and see if people like it. if they do we will continue our work. We have this all planed out.

so Shade just take a chill pill and relax. cause aprntly you have no idea what were doing.

Do you have any idea of how bad your spelling was on that post?
Also, If you are so cock-sure that you will get this complete, I would like to see. But i doubt i will.
I will Ease down and tune in for any progress this overboard project will ever get.

Well prepare to be amazed my dear friend. Cause this ain't some brand new thing. its been around for a while. so we got it planned out all we need is just to start animating. FYI. all animations will be done in 3ds max. this will never touch the halo engine due to the lack that it couldn't handle it.

So if its not going into halo, Its going to be rendered in 3dsmax. Also, if you have everything done, why need a Kid model when you said you have everything done? But i guess thats not the point. I will try to be amazed. Do your best.

Though I'm going to reserve judgment, I'd just like to point out that most cutscene animations for most games are done with motion capture.

i know but i dont wanna spend 500 bucks on a cam that i would just use a few times to make an animation.

Its not only a camera. Its a Set, like movie set, But more complex (more of a studio if you ask me). Mo-cap needs alot more than just a camera. Saying that makes you seem singleminded, only thinking on one thing on Gamma's sentence, No offense.

Actualy Skid we have Started Some what. Weve got ppl working on the new modesl w/ more moving features, New Animators who's Animations are orgasmic, New features. once this is all done will be ready to animate!
