Drop some real candy and show us something in game. we will when its ready. i need to wrap up the modeling of that map and get down to making details and scenery pieces for all of my maps. as well as create blockouts of any rough ideas i have for new maps along the way. majority of those are works in progress.... you could say i try to do way too many things at once. the MP_evolved name was an inside joke due to il duce primo trying to recruit us to make mpg4 for him.Edited by killzone64 on Oct 25, 2016 at 05:03 PM

Yeah just a sculpt. Currently it's still a pretty rough sculpt so I'll be doing a detail pass on it and then make a game-res model and texture that.

Very interesting. I could see this being used for my glove textures.
Also, what did you use to render those orb images?
How long did it take?
Is that background modeled in or clever use of image backgrounds?

You can use it for whatever you like, compositing it on your glove UV's might be a bit difficult depending on where you are in the process, but it could be done. I made the sphere and cloth in 3ds max and then put the UV's on it and put it into Marmoset toolbag, which is a Rendering engine similar to a game engine to preview game models. The background is just an HDR. Took roughly 2-3 hours messing with it here and there. Edited by samnwck on Nov 13, 2016 at 06:22 PM

Wow that is gorgeous, I can't wait for the year normal consumer PCs under 1000$ can render stuff like this in real time.

You don't need an expensive pc for toolbag. In fact it's so good and forgiving on potatos I use it too! And rendering is as simple as saving an image in ms paint. Can't wait for black friday. Yeah it's very forgiving, as a matter of fact if I wasn't running tessellation on the cloth I get really good framerates. And it doesn't even look that much better with tessellation, only when I'm getting really close up shots can you even notice it. A sub-$1000 computer could easily run it. Edited by samnwck on Nov 14, 2016 at 02:08 PM Well yeah, but I mean games made up entirely of that, with billions of polies, dynamic realistic lighting with particle physic simulations and 4k textures running at constant 120+fps
