Not wip, not Halo CE. Also looks really out of place and gross. At least the Halo 2 BR looks like it could belong.

I know you can't take away too much from the pictures posted, but it's safe the to say that the general quality of the map will follow what has been seen. Things always changes since I am in a constant process of coming up with new ideas. So I haven't modeled a map in maybe a year½(or two... or three... I can't remember the last time I published anything), What can a Micro detail map do besides just destroy the look of everything else in the shader? (btw, if I needed a speccular map but neither my primary nor secondary detail maps have alpha, do I simply compile my specmap into the microdetail or something?)

Probably cant speak for CE, but microbumps work wonders when you use them right. My vision is for it to be slightly smaller than Blood Gulch. As for minimum recommended, probably 4vs4 or 5vs5. We'll see, hopefully I can whip out a public alpha test in May (With the basic terrain and gameplay concept).

It was probably an oversight, not an indication that he doesn't take his work seriously. To the contrary: if he's posting in a WIP thread I'm fairly certain he's looking for usable crit. I think you're overreacting. Make a PSA about not rendering with a black background if it bothers you so much. Since you're all about politeness you should consider alternate means of informing someone that there's a better way for them to show off their work.
