Oh my god, I found a copy of a dead project of mine, Pagophobia. I thought all the copies I had were destroyed when I reformatted my PC a while back, but I suddenly remembered that I'd sent beta copies to Maniac1000, and I did so using dropbox.

I never cleaned out my dropbox, and sure enough, there it was.

I'm totally doing something with this in the future, when my super-secret coding project is done.

Depending on what it represents and the intention behind it's creation I really can't comment on anything apart from the visuals which:

Are ok, I sorta kinda like the glow, not too thrilled with the complexity of the thing, love the swirly, swirly pattern beyond the inner rim.

Just don't go summoning dead tags with it.....at least until after contingency has been completed.

. From what I have been taught sigils are sort of the lower end of magik.

(or magic whatever you want to call it.)

. Primarily depending on your beliefs you can summon low level entities, infuse your intention of something you desire into a sigil and then hoping whatever you dreamed about comes true .

Basically that kind of stuff.

Again this is wholly depending on whether you believe in magic, heaven and hell, the devil and god, tango & cash e.t.c

Personally I do believe in that sort of stuff but I don't dabble in the "black magicesque"
realm because I'm a good guy and you sort of have to be stupid if you actively want to delve into that side of spirituality IMAO.

I would like to see the custom animations inside the pelican because all I can see is a static image or this just a really slow .gif? And by consequence am I being trolled?

Oh and no ones feet touch the ground, you should look into that.

Commissar Gerald says friendship is magic and magic is heresy.

As far as the sigil going anything you have to have everything linked and lots of circles and whatnot. Exact layouts depend on your belief and objective. Wouldn't suggest getting into it at all though, I'm just saying there is both rhyme and reason to the making of sigils.

I was more thinking you would go into the lore of some fantasy world like LotR and disregard magic coming from circles to be real in the first place.

I think it's time to reveal my super-secret coding project.

Over the last couple weeks, I have been hard at work porting Bluestreak's gbxmodel importer to blender.

Today, it ran for the very first time.

It looks absolutely disgusting, but you can tell that there's a spartan model somewhere in there. Looks like the code needs a little tweaking.

To each their own. I started this to give people who want to use blender the option to do so, without having to finagle with Gmax just to import/export.

There is a jms exporter for blender here I think. https://github.com/ElDewrito/HaloOnlineTagTool/tree/master/Physics
I hadn't tested it.

That may also help with your workings.

I'll definitely talk a look at it. A JMS exporter is a little further down on the priority list since a few already exist. I know someone named Zekilk made another one, but I've never tested it myself.

I plan to reverse-engineer both, along with Bluestreak's version.

Gonna look into animations? It'd be pretty slick if you managed to pull off an all in one.

Animations are definitely on the list. And yes, my eventual vision for Project Blendstreak (Name subject to change, heh) is something similar to the Source Blender Tools addon for Source Engine games, which included importers and exporters all rolled into one addon.

But I don't know how long developing this will take. I might initially release things like the importer separately, so people can have access to them as soon as they're ready.
