Halo: CE downloads from Xbox LIVE Marketplace.

What other downloads would there be?

Or for backgrounds, avatars, or other things actually possible to put into Combat Evolved. That game is so unupdatable on XBL it's not even funny.

Why not just put custom made-maps on it then?

Its a HUB for the Xbox 360 for Halo games. Basically an Xbox version of Bungie.net

Because, when you abbreviate both:
Halo: Combat Evolved=Halo: CE
Halo: Custom Edition=Halo: CE

they turn out to be the same thing. Some people don't even know Custom Edition exists, so they think they're abbreviated Combat Evolved (which they are), with no regards to it being the same as Custom Edition.

Waypoint is something on the 360, which means it would be Combat Evolved, not Custom Edition, because Custom Edition isn't available on Xbox. On Waypoint, your Gamerscore for all your Halo games is added and gives you a rank. It will give some special Halo Waypoint "Achievements", like 'get all available vehicle based achievements on Halo 3, Halo Wars and Halo 3: ODST'. It will feature some episodes from the new upcoming Halo:Legends(ugh...) and general information, community stuff, news etc etc..

Anyone else find it Waypoint a bad thing? Think about it, Microsoft is releases a Nexus for all Halo games. They wouldn't release something if it's going to die once Halo: Reach and Halo: Legends comes out. Which means they won't be done with the Halo Universe. I hope I'm wrong.

Halo will not die with Bungie, Microsoft already has a 'Halo' Team Assembled. I don't think more Halo games is a bad thing, I do know that if Microsoft is going to constantly rehash the same Covenant story I will be saving $60 everytime a Halo game comes out.

Also wtf is Halo: Legends?

I guess it's time to make a choice:
The Company (Bungie,) or The Franchise (Halo?)

Not really... I'm sure all new Halo titles will be up to par with the previous, and don't be surprised if Bungie's next title is something other than a FPS.

Halo Wars was by Ensemble studios though... i pretty much liked it, but i still like bungie's games more^^

Halo Wars was a mockery of Halo. Canon was raped every second of the story.

Errr how? Please explain.

1.) If the Red Team Spartans going missing is bull, then think about the time between the retake of Harvest and of Reach. The story is PERFECTLY canon.

2.) Halo Wars was accurate until you reached Online Multiplayer....or maybe it was too accurate. Think about it now, 5 Guass Hogs should destroy a tank in combined shots, while a tank can destroy a hog in one or two.

3.) If you say that half of the crap not being reported to the UNSC ONI from what the SoF saw, then also think about them being lost and crap.

In anyone is wondering what Halo Waypoint really is, it's basically a compilation and shortcut to getting your Halo downloads instead of having to go to each separate game and look each one up (takes me 5 minutes) and then download your items. Waypoint is an easier way to get to Halo stuff. And no, Halo won't die after Reach. Halo3 is still widely played, usually among the top three in XBL.

You can't say HW was accurate. When I saw the flood I said this exact word. "Whaaaaat?". HW was ok, the best thing were the cutscenes.

Of the thirty-three SPARTAN-IIs that survived augmentation, as of August 30, 2552, 25 were present at the Battle of Reach, 3 were too far out of UNSC space to be easily recalled, two were confirmed KIA, two were MIA, and one was WIA.

Those SPARTANs got back to Reach, but no one was told about the Flood. That is impossible, since there are no secrets between SPARTANs and the entire crew would have been debriefed.

Either the SPARTANs got back and the Master Chief knew about the Flood, breaking canon, or the SPARTANs do not get back, which breaks canon.

This is just the tip of the iceberg for SPARTANs, I can go on for quite a bit.

That's exactly what I thought; weren't Johnson and Keye's squad the first human encounter with the flood?

All blur did was the cutscene art. They are a cinema outsourcing studio.

The Spirit of Fire and its crew are officially MIA, as of 2534, and have not been found since. Meaning that anyone who witnessed the Flood during Halo Wars have not been able to get back to report it to the rest of the UNSC.

Nylund's original novels have been thoroughly retconned, so their details just aren't reliable anymore. His first two novels were written in the franchise's infancy, before even Halo 2 was released, and the backstory was not designed with a large franchise in mind. If I recall, Hunters, Engineers, and Elites were all first seen by the UNSC in 2552. UNSC had many rotational-gravity ships. For most of the war, UNSC had only seen Jackals and Grunts, but not Brutes.

Yeah I agree, the books are good but after awhile they started to mess with the storyline. As for seeing the alien races the UNSC would have known about elites, jackals, and grunts before Reach got attacked, Engineers I'm not sure of because ONI probally would have known first but wouldn't neccesarilly release that knowledge, As for brutes, I think they may have known about them alittle bit from MC but didn't really encounter them that much until the covenant attacked New Mombassa.

Fat chance. M$ is who ruined the franchise in the first place.

Waht... a Halo cartoon... this is going a little too far...

I like how they are making the 7 references far too obvious now.. -rolls eyes-
That was cool when Bungie did it with Marathon, but now it's just.. whatever.
