Yeah I think its called 343 Industries... I at least hope they make a good job of Halo once they take over.... Fat chance. M$ is who ruined the franchise in the first place. Waht... a Halo cartoon... this is going a little too far... If it wasn't for M$ you probably never would have heard of Halo. Also Bungie is a great company but they have the majority of the success of their name to M$. I still hate M$ though haha And as much as I hate the Halo Cartoon, I think this is M$ way of reaching out to the Eastern Community.

Quote: --- Original message by: ArteenQuote: --- Original message by: RougeSpartan414Quote: --- Original message by: DarkHalo003 1.) If the Red Team Spartans going missing is bull, then think about the time between the retake of Harvest and of Reach. The story is PERFECTLY canon.
3.) If you say that half of the crap not being reported to the UNSC ONI from what the SoF saw, then also think about them being lost and crap. This is just the tip of the iceberg for SPARTANs, I can go on for quite a bit. Edited by RougeSpartan414 on Nov 3, 2009 at 02:07 PM Nylund's original novels have been thoroughly retconned, so their details just aren't reliable anymore. His first two novels were written in the franchise's infancy, before even Halo 2 was released, and the backstory was not designed with a large franchise in mind. If I recall, Hunters, Engineers, and Elites were all first seen by the UNSC in 2552. UNSC had many rotational-gravity ships. For most of the war, UNSC had only seen Jackals and Grunts, but not Brutes. So by your logic if I took out a paper and rewrote the bible you would worship it (assuming you are christian, for the sake of argument)?

Halo Waypoint is out. http://halo.xbox.com/en-us/halowaypoint If you are a Gold member of XBL, just go the marketplace to download it. You can now receive ODST Armor, ODST Helmet, Recon Helmet, and 2 Shirts if you have gotten the achievements needed. And a Monitor Prop is unlocked once you run Halo Waypoint for the first time. Also Halo Waypoint streams episodes of Halo Legends. The first episode, "Babysitter", is released this Saturday, and is viewable through Halo Waypoint. Also the "Halo CE" section of the Marketplace in Halo Waypoint provides a download to the Halo Theme and Halo Combat Evolved. Edited by Advancebo on Nov 5, 2009 at 03:55 PM

3.) If you say that half of the crap not being reported to the UNSC ONI from what the SoF saw, then also think about them being lost and crap. Of the thirty-three SPARTAN-IIs that survived augmentation, as of August 30, 2552, 25 were present at the Battle of Reach, 3 were too far out of UNSC space to be easily recalled, two were confirmed KIA, two were MIA, and one was WIA. Those SPARTANs got back to Reach, but no one was told about the Flood. That is impossible, since there are no secrets between SPARTANs and the entire crew would have been debriefed. Either the SPARTANs got back and the Master Chief knew about the Flood, breaking canon, or the SPARTANs do not get back, which breaks canon. This is just the tip of the iceberg for SPARTANs, I can go on for quite a bit. Edited by RougeSpartan414 on Nov 3, 2009 at 02:07 PM W.I.A? Wth is that?

That is a great point but I really don't think it would be like that. I know we have all seen the early build video of Halo and it looked like crap, without Microsofts' funding the game probably still looked like crap, not nearly that bad but Microsoft definitely increased their budget and made the sequels possible.

Edited by theflea on Nov 5, 2009 at 07:36 PM Edited by theflea on Nov 5, 2009 at 07:38 PM There is so much stupid in your post I don't know where to begin. 1. No human should know that the Flood existed until the Covenant uncovered them on Alpha Halo. 2. There should be nothing for the Spartans to tell the Master Chief about. You're misinformed, but I do agree with the correct form of what you're saying. My entire post was explaining why Halo Wars is not canon.

the humans didnt have any idea about the flood until cortana happened to look into why keyes was going to the spot that he thought was a weapons cache. and i didnt really read what you were talking about the spartans telling someone or watever... OHH i just got it... halo wars was a complete side story that was suposed to kinda go before the fall of reach. Oh and this is interesting... youl notice that in one of the cutscenes they mention that the Pillar of Autumn was venting atmosphere and out of the fight which is the battle scared..ness that they talk about in The Fall of Reach when keyes gets that ship.

By that time Keyes was still a... security Captain(?), and that has been the Earliest PoA has been seen. PoA wasnt really a factor in Arcadia minus the Plasma Rhinos.
Anyway......

Halo Wars takes place about 20-30 years before the events of Halo 1-3
