who would they release it to? they can just test it themselves. masters has been testing it when he live feeds on xfire (i.e. it exceptions while he's playing).

Plenty of trusted friends of team members have been allowed to beta certain maps. I'm sure once the content creation is done and its in the debugging phase more people will be beta testing.

VERY trusted friends. They wouldn't want the beta circling the web because they gave it to the wrong person.

There's a very good reason for no public beta, and why only trusted friends get one. I'm sure everyone remembers all the tangents, criticism, insulting, etc. that came every time update pictures were put up. Now imagine if the maps were released to everyone for download before they were ready.

BTW I do not have a beta, so nothing should be taken from this post in that matter.

So is it still good at an 800x600 res? My laptop has a 1024x600 screen, so Halo's quite screwed up. I run it at 800x600, so do you think graphics are still good?

Yeah, I know the pictures at Modacity were lowres, but isn't that to make the images fit?

To be honest in Halo CE they look a lot more reptile-like than bird. In Halo 2 they were changed to birds by giving them a thinner jaw and "feathers" (I think they have feathers?)

They aren't any of these. They are a seperate species that developed on their own. They have no relationship with any animals on our own planet. Any similarities are coincidental. That's how evolution works. They are not birds, or reptiles, or dogs, or anything like that. THEY ARE THEIR OWN SPECIES. They can't even be categorized properly as Animalia.

You know Halo is just a video game and this magical world of Halo doesn't actually exist? Bungie's artist don't just come up with everything off the top of their head. They use references of actual things on this planet. I'm pretty sure they used some type of bird references when concepting the Jackel.

I was wondering if CMT would be kind enough to release a human ship template, with all the component hallways and junctions and stuff. I would rather have that than all of their tags and releases. I would like it more than SPv2, actually.

My guess is yes, but from what I've heard some are recycled from the multiplayer maps, and others from other parts of the game. There are some original ones though, and those will probably be protected.

Most likely. It would be cool to release the max files of the new bsps down the road. I can't say for sure because I didn't create all of it. I'll definatly release some bsps that never make it into the mod.

I love making my own single player modifications to maps. BSPs actually made for single player use would be VERY useful.

Btw, why did you take away the spike grenade? (Referring to a chat on YouTube in one of your broadcasts.) Because, it is the best Halo-grenade ever (perhaps not as fun as the flaming-gellybean-grenade) and if that is true, I'll probably cry until release, and then forget it was even supposed to be there.

I think it was either lag when they exploded, or that you'd be instantly killed when they exploded.

It was just not possible to have more than 2 grenade types. For it to work properly it would have to replace either the frag or plasma grenade.

If anything make it shorter but more complex. How could that huge corridor fit inside that tiny ship? Also, for some reason you drive straight for a really long distance and then go straight into a hangar bay? Anyways, make the run more complex, but overall shorter. Like you have to get out of the vehicle, or maybe make a banshee/longsword run.

If you get to the Longsword for a Longsword run, why not fly that to get off of Halo, instead of flying to another Longsword?
