It's just an error with the telescope that took the shots, lots of stars in this survey have things like that around them. The blue swirl thing to the left of eta corvi is just another error.
Even if it was real, considering the fact that the Halo ring would be far less than a lightyear in diameter, this picture would be impossible. It would be too small for the telescope to see. If it were as visible as it is in the picture, it would either be closer, not orbiting a star (which makes a boatload of sense) or a rather large structure.
Logic just wins here...

I just said no they are not. That is an error from the telescope during the making of the DSS2 all sky survey. It's just a coincidence that it looks like that.

Just like it would be just a coincidence if an earth like planet (h2o oceans, and areas of dry land with the possibility of similar life) was found. The life part would be very unlikely seeing as there are an infinite ways chemicals can react, and the way they react on earth to make life possible is just one variation.

the universe is very big. as far as we know there could be other races in the universe. so its a given that we are not the same thinkers as them. so what stops them from naming things just because we named them (planets, stars, galaxies, etc) what we prefer. hmm?

There are seemingly infinite combinations of planets, stars, galaxies everything. So, as far as I'm concerned anything is possible in a place this large (The Universe).
