is it possible to have the Gears Of War lancer in CE? i want it mainly for the lancer cut since i dont think the duel is possible.

exactly how i want it. except what about when the enemy is getting cut? how he shakes all the time? how would i make it so it only happens with the lancer weapon only. And to only execute when i begin to saw then in half?

Scripting doesnt detect when a player melees :\

and what about when the blood spurts all over the players screen. >:D that would be epic! (and how would i do that?)
and since the melee animation would be just a slicing action, would it be possible like in Gears2 how it does different melees, depending on the size of the biped? i dont really care about the cut from behind. Though now that i think about it, it would would look epic in first person view. :D
but like the wretches in gears2 how the player biped leans over then cuts so it chainsaw actually hits the enemy biped.

The Chainsaw effect wouldn't be 3P, it would have to be in first. I recommend you have animations that look like it's sawing the enemy. I actually have a working "tag" for the lancer from a while back if you want it. Anims and model will be up to you though.

i can make a 3p animation. (not sure why i would have one, since its in sp and only the player would be using the weapon. and you dont see yourself in 3p) and whats ur xfire? since i want a working lancer... Use it in Earth Campaign.
im just think about if you went up to a elite and sliced him in half from its right shoulder down to its left hip. And blood coming from it and going everywhere on the screen. lol, drown in elite blood. XD

no, simply put, there really isnt any way you are going to make this, and if you somehow manage to make it work, its not going to sync. this wont work in ce.

i guess what you COULD do is make the melee anim long so it isnt spammed, but when you melee somebody, the damage effect stuns both you and the other guy, and the anim makes it look like the gun is cutting, then kill the player. i dont know how good that will look, but it should work.

im not worrying about syncing issues since it's for Single Player. i just want to know if its possible.

also, there was a topic made a long time ago about the blood spurting on the screen... also the Flood campaign has that overlay thing, and it comes on when you are hurt so I'm sure you can figure out someway to attach it to the persons death.

can you guys convert this to max and post it ?

my 2 cent is dont try and make it work like gears just make it work and sink !
dont wory about blood first make it work first then wory about blood!
try and make it sink! cuz thats what every weapon needs.
all u need is a good fp animation your model is allredy ben amasingly put into play
blood hitting the screen well that part seams alittle on the hard part but you know when u get hit buy the AR and your screen flashes red you may beable to make it so the person getting hit's screen go's tottaly red
it may be better if the blood actuly came from the weapon and not the player
do it up halo style not gears style make your owen style weapon not a gears lancer but a spartin slicer !
