what are those strange errors? if its random freezing when you open menus, disable aero.... does windows 7 even have aero? i dont know. but if it does, turn it off because HEK+ doesn't like aero. or just go to the properties of the .exe for HEK+ and set it to disable visual themes.
if it flat out wont start, its either that windows 7 cannot use HEK+ or your .net framework is not the right version for it. i know ICEE was having an issue with HEK+ because he had version 3.5 of the .net framework where HEK+ uses something like 1.6 Edited by Donut on May 5, 2009 at 04:22 AM

I'm running windows seven and I have no problems. I haven't changed anything to make it compatible so it must be something else. Also i'm not running UAC so try running it as administrator.

HEK+ works fine on w7, just disable AERO, and restart after downloading it :S

You also might want to run it in XP compatibility, or there may be some string problems if you protect the map.

maybe your default web browser or that maybe you can't connect to a .xml file or something or the .xml file is not found.
