That's the thing I don't get though. Mortars shoot off at an Ark, so you can't just pick people off from far away unless you aim up a bit, which you can't see anything in front of you. In that case, you are pretty much blind firing, and hoping you hit someone. Unbalanced.

Fine. Just finished reanimating it.
Here's the updated origins:

Can't move it any more than that, it starts to look bad IMO

No, because there's a stand on the bottom of it, look at the model in the first post. He couldn't possibly hold it like that. The stand would get in the way.

Why would you want to hold Mortar on your arms anyways. The barrel gets EXTREMELY HOT after the first few rounds.

-no shrapnel at all

...And yet the Chief can take dozens of hits from a Plasma Rifle. I think plasma would be hotter than a mortar barrel by a long shot.

@Advancebo: It still looks better than a cylinder on a stick, right?

Im just making a small suggestion.....

for the Ravager i think it would be cool if it was like a sniper but not as accurate. probably just as accurate as the pistol. but also on it a 2x-4x scope. and if you ever played shadowrun have it fire like the rifle on there. it make it interesting....i think atleast....

That's pretty much what it is. It's a powerful laser sight that uses a sniper rifle stock. Anyway, which looks better, that or the cylinder-pistol thing he had?

No grenades as he holds it left handed. Lunge only if someone can teach me how and I can make it turn out good.

@ElectricSquid: I an happy with the way my version turned out.
Also, thinking about adding the gravity hammer. All I need to do is edit the effects and it'll be done.

I like them alot :) Also are you going to add textures to the weapons (the one spiker looking weapon lol)? Only thing i could maybe give criteria on is the FP animations... I just think some of them are... a bit plain. If you could make them better that would be great if not don't worry about it then.

You always lunge forward if your meleeing, hitting the hammer, or swinging the sword. Bungie incorporated in that feature to make it easier to melee.

Hint: You can move your shoulders, you don't have to keep them in the same spot they start out at. Also, I'd be happy to animate the cool knife for you :V

There are so many things to crit on that

for 1, thats not detail, thats adding more basic shapes and attaching it to the model
2, wth is that thing on the top, it looks like a Memory Card
3, why are you using the bitmaps for the control panel on "Pillar of Autumn"?

Like he said, similar to the ones on those CMT Rocket Launchers. It should be more transparent if it is a sight. (Make the crosshairs either on the sight or on the HUD look like the Scorpion crosshairs, with all the horizontal lines.) Plus, if there's an artificial one, why is there iron sights at the end of the "barrel"? Maybe you could make it shoot a projectile that embeds itself in the target like a Needler round, and it's the beacon for the targeting system of the RoG satellite.

That thing on the top is a sight.
I'll see how it looks with the hog radar.
And what would you suggest I add to the model?
