I was curious as to what I needed to spend on a new GFX Card so I could play Crysis and I was just skimming around looking through the Gallery that they had... but this is what caught my eye. Now is Bungie really considering a Port or am I just seeing things?



If you go to the Nvidia site and look in Gallery - Gaming. We already know Screenshots are going to look good because they are pictures, but why on Nvidia?

If they weren't thinking of port, Why would halo 3 pics be on a Nvidia web site when the 360 runs an ATI card?

Well the 360 uses Ati graphics, so it still could be a port.

Idk, I think it looks like it would be on PC. Just look at the way the Explosion is made. It almost looks like H2 Vista.

No. Guys really now? Speak visual is a contest that nvidia is having all over the internet. Who ever posted that picture is trying to use a Halo 3 screenshot as an entry. This does not mean that halo 3 is going to pc.

You're totally wrong. HL2's graphics aren't near as good as Halo3's. Halo3's has far more pretty and realistic (tangible) graphics, while HL2 still has that colory cartoony gloss to it that keeps it at it's level. Halo3 looks a lot better and different in many ways.

Halo 3 has better graphics, but HL2 definitely does not have "colory cartoony gloss". If anything halo3 is "cartoony" just look at the colors they use.

Don't even try to say that halo 3 graphics are great. They are passable, but not nearly as good as it can get.

Halo 3's shader system is one of the best out there. Mass effect is up there with crysis but Halo 3 has proven its self to have the best lighting system out there.

Half life 2 EP2 is capable of a far higher quality graphics than halo 3.

Also chances are that since halo 3 will be a port, it will have absolutely ridiculous requirements, which exceed the actual xbox hardware, which on reflection is fairly low end.

And another note, The source engine is far more optimized than Blam is, so just because you can run a game with better graphics does not mean you will be able to run halo 3.

Also Crysis has far superior graphics to h3, so tbh h3 is nothing special graphics wise :|

Did you read my post? Are you agreeing with DarkHalo and saying HL2 is cartoony?

in my opinion halo 3 and half life 2 episode 2 have different graphic qualities that make them look what they look like now. Both games have great graphics but (I think) in a different style. I have episode 2 for my computer and it runs great super fast. Infact I can run it about 30-40 fps with ALL things at there HIGHEST and I realy do mean HIGHEST except not the resolution I have it at one notch more than 1200x720 or something like that. it looks like a very good game and so does halo 3, for me they are graphicaly equal.

now can we get back to talking about the port of halo 3 for pc now?
I once watched this video discussing about this issue and it said some thing about how halo 1 and 2 both when they released said xbox only on the boxes but a few years after they came out for pc. and if I remember correctly it showed halo 3's box and it said 36O only so maybe it will port for pc. but ofcoarse thats not for certain

Microsoft also said Halo 2 was an Xbox Exclusive. So it is very possible that they will port it.

Obviously they will port it. It's no big secret that there will be H3PC, the only reason they say it's xbox exculsive is so that you spend money on an xbox so you can spend money on halo 3, so you can spend money on a live subscription, then spend even more money on halo 3 on pc

I have googled, I have searched Bungie and Microsoft, and I have found nothing on this matter, only on Nvidia. Maybe Nvidia owns H3 now? o.o

No, not even that. He doesn't even play halo. It just shows the microsoft and stuff. He puts it in, it plays the videos. Not even Emulating. Please. My brother is a serious emulator. There is no freaking way Xbox 360 games are going to be playable in the next 4 years. Xbox isn't even completed.

Another good graphics wise game is Time Shift. I got it for pc. If you turn your graphics all the way up it will look something like this-

h3 graphics are great i mean seriously play the first level in campain if you havnt played thegame you cant reply in this topic about how its not good. its not the best i mean it did year and a 1/4 ago but at the time it was pretty much the best game for visual scenes. Half life 2 does hav the cartoon effect i was just playing it and its obvious.

Geo, the first pic simply looks like they nuked the level with bloom. It really looks ugly in that pic. The second pic looks nice though, but it all begins to look the same after a while. Show a GoW2 picture and you'll have a nice comparison between good graphics and decent graphics.
